Re: Training a deaf dog not to bark

Hi Michelle, we had Wurly BAER tested, just to find out exactly what she could hear, it is worth it. Your doing really well  , it's a struggle with a deaf dog, and sometimes you feel like pulling your hair out. :( Wurly is by no means a perfect dog 8) , many of the folks on here know how na...

Love that you thought you could have quiet room with your lot
Seriously though I'm sure they'll get used to it.
Enjoy the last of the summer in your lovey conservatory. :D

Re: Training a deaf dog not to bark

Hi :D , Wurly is also deaf (since birth) When we had her tested they found she has no hearing in one ear & a tiny amount in the other. Deaf dogs do like to bark, they can feel the vibration of their own bark and it's nice. That's what we've found with Wurly, she seems to find some comfort in it. :D ...

I broke my leg last year and will have to have another op on it soon, just to remove a rouge pin  . work is going well and we’re about to move house, ( a bigger gard...

Wurly’s 3rd Birthday.

We can not believe it’s been 3 years since the Wurlwind came into our lives. :D We love her so much, despite (or because of) her naughty but nice nature. Underwear, food, tools & many more items are still a glorious fascination for her  (i.e. stolen) Who’d have thought when we went t...

Re: Carnations!! :O

Wurls has stolen many flowers before  , as long as he's just shredded them and not eaten any, he'll be fine. :)
If' he's eaten them, give the vet a ring.
(Sometimes they can shred them so well it looks like they've eaten them.)
Hope he's ok :D
