Re: Ear infection - anyone help?

Hi Kelly, our Finn started to suffer from near constant ear infections when he was just under a year, which were treated with antibiotics and steroids. After about 9 months I got fed up with this vicious circle and after applying some pressure on the vet we obtained a referral to a Pet Dermatologist...

Re: To Puppy or not to Puppy, that is the question!

Hi Jay, we didn't introduce the second dog until Finn was nearly 6 years old. Finn is very human focused but also likes to play with other dogs, though he is very exuberant which is not always appreciated by a playmate. Hubby was very sceptical about adding another Doodle (never really considered an...

Re: What food do you feed your doodle?

Have a look at Akela dog food, 5***** rated by the Dog Food Directory website and not too expensive. http://www.wholeprey.com/akela-80-20-dog-food/akela-80-20-grain-free-dog-food-vat-free.html Before that I used JWB grainfree which was fine with Finn but Izzy, then 6 months old, had huge mushy poos....

Re: Scruffy doodles and grooming

What? Not the most attractive dog? Tell the plumber to go to Specsavers, or better - tell him to focus on his own grooming needs! I hope his plumbing is better than his customer/communication skills...! Finn is a scruffy Dood and like Teflon, everything comes off after a good shake and he never smel...

Thanks for the suggestions Annie! The Mendip walk sounds lovely - I do miss the Exmoor ponies we had on Chailey Common! Regards, Val

Re: Goodbye Sussex, hello Somerset!

Hi Anny, apologies for the late reply - internet issues and lack of time! Thanks for the information on the groomer but we have been lucky and found a mobile one that is willing to come out to us. And it gets even better, after I spoke to her someone from this forum actually recommended her! What a ...

Goodbye Sussex, hello Somerset!

Hello! I haven't had much time over the past 6 months to check out posts, what with selling, trying to buy and moving house with two Doodles, but we've completed the move, thank heaven, if not the buying part. So good-bye to all the Sussex/Surrey strollers we met over the years! Right now we are ren...

dog friendly accommodation - Herefordshire & Somerset

Here are two places we recently stayed at: The Cider House, near Ledbury - http://www.welcomecottages.com/cottages/the-cider-house-w43815 . A small house, with 2 double berdrooms, one on groundfloor, one up first floor with sloping ceilings, both en-suite. Really lovely, we didn't bring the dogs at ...

Re: Travel with a doodle

Hi Littlewam, we've been up to Scotland several times and to Germany twice with Finn in tow. I have footwell fillers which go behind driver/passenger seat and extend the backseat space. Finn's bed goes onto the seat, and he jumps in and disappears into the folds (properly harnessed to the seatbelt b...

Never a dull day with a Doodle, eh? And with two one just doesn't have time to think! :)

Tell your friend to get in touch if she has any questions - regards, val

Re: Home boarding recommendations

Hi Susie, I haven't been on the forum for a while and only just saw your post. We live in East Sussex and have used boarding for a while, through an agency called Black Dog Home Boarding Sussex. We are using 3 different boarders, depending on how busy they are, one is in West Sussex and the other tw...

Re: Nice walk ruined...

I quite agree with Bren - you should take it further. After all there was no need to become aggressive towards your wife, one of them could have walked over to her and explained that she was on private land (if indeed she was which is not yet proven) and point out how she can get back onto the path ...

Re: Stout decided Michelle had done enough studying for toni

He's priceless - isn't he? It sounds as if the Bingham Brewery could become the long-awaited successor to The Office sitcom. Clearly Stout has the potential to outperform Ricky Gervais. All he needs is a dance routine to perform with all of you in the background. Have you not yet sent an expose to f...

Re: Stout decided Michelle had done enough studying for toni

Get him a new bandanna:
Bingham Brewery Work-Life Balance Adviser!

Does he work Saturdays? I was planning to drop by on 24th if we have enough time to treat my sister to Doodle Stout and was secretly hoping to see the wonderful hound!

Does he also supervise staff? Regards, Val
