Re: Advice please re doggy dandruff

Thanks Ann, I've never heard of stud tail before. After our walk in the woods today - where Stanley found ALL the stinky puddles that hadn't dried out yet - I shampooed his legs and tail in my normal doggy shampoo, and made sure I thoroughly rinsed his tail. The dandruff has gone!

Advice please re doggy dandruff

I noticed for the first time yesterday when grooming Stanley that he appears to have dandruff, but only at the thickest part of his tail. I'm wondering if when I have washed him I have not rinsed out the shampoo thoroughly in his tail. I don't wash him very often, the last time being during the wint...

I got Stanley's collar and tag from here and I am very pleased with them. Good service too.

Re: Well I gave in :(

Some dogs do not take to being crated. I tried a crate with Stanley - he hated it and got almost hysterical in it. I persevered for 2 weeks, getting up to him 3 times a night, then hearing him crying and scratching for up to 2 hours before he settled. I took to sleeping on the sofa when he woke for ...

Re: Right!! I'm going to do raw

Thanks for replies and ideas for treats. I have ordered some complete food from Nutriment this morning. I don't think I'd have the stomach to buy a whole rabbit! Lamb bones are about my limit at the moment! I shall watch the programme about dog food, sounds interesting.

Re: Right!! I'm going to do raw

Hi, I'm so glad you brought this subject up, as I took the plunge this weekend to change to raw too. I'm very confused by it all as well, so decided to buy a frozen complete food and went with the one my local pet shop stocks - Natures Menu. Stanley really liked it. I'd like to change to Nutriment a...

Re: 4 am help!

Hi, your Sam looks just like our Stanley! It's a beautiful picture too. I used to do this with Stanley too when he woke up early. I eventually got fed up with napping on the sofa, so took his bed upstairs next to mine. He slept great after that. One day he chose to sleep downstairs in his hall bed, ...
