Re: Play Biting

8 weeks is about right imo - they are ready to leave then, and learn about their new home. I think there are 2 types of puppy biting - there is the nipping where they are learning what is acceptable and what isn't - this is a good thing because they learn how to control it, so when they are older a...

Re: Play Biting

Is it just me or are people getting their puppies earlier and earlier these days? Trouble with taking such early delivery is that you are removing them from the natural [corrective] environment of their siblings and are limited due to vaccinations etc from socialising them which would be one of the...

Re: Play Biting

Thanks everyone! I'm very glad to know that it's a phase and that he'll grow out of it! I know that dogs are chewers but was starting to worry that I am accidentally raising and attack dog by not breaking his habit of hand biting! I shall continue to squeel and stop play when he's too rough. And I t...

Play Biting

We have a 9 week old puppy who is obsessed with play fighting with me and my husband. But the problem is because he has those very sharp puppy teeth, he has actually drawn blood from both of us by accident. I always tell him 'No' or make my 'negative' noise and then redirect his attention to a chew ...

Re: Kong for an 8 week old

Thanks again for all your good advice and best wishes. Everything you say makes 100% sense. We need to summon the energy from somewhere to tough it out! Also need to ship the kids off I think, they found it really upsetting when we tried to ignore her last weekend. Dealing with tearful tired kids o...

Re: Jumping onto things

I'm dreading this! Monty is growing at the rate of knots (notts? nots?) and I am not looking forward to the time he can get on the table.....

I don't have any further advice to give you I'm afraid. But I CAN give you my sympathies!

Re: What do you need....?

That travel towel stuff would be perfect I think..... No idea where one sources that tbh but I can have a think about it and see if I can find it..... You kind of want it with a big long train so that there is enough fabric to wrap around her if she's in the caravan drying off on the sofa......(or ...

Re: Stout is poorly

Monty was about to ask if he could have the egg and rice that Stout didn't eat....but I had to tell him that Stout is feeling better and ate his dinner for breakfast.

I'm very glad that he's better. That is excellent news! :D
