Re: Do dogs get colds?

Thank you. I had to go to the vets today to get flea and worming things so I just mentioned it to the Receptionist. She said I should bring her in for a check over just in case she has sniffed something up her nose and sneezing isn't enough to dislodge it! I wish dogs could speak to us - I find it q...

Do dogs get colds?

Hello everyone, I haven't posted anything for absolutely ages, but I have been reading all the goings on! I just wondered if it is possible for dogs to get a cold? I only ask as for the past fews days Callie has been quite 'snuffly' and sneezing quite a bit. This seems to happen when she moves from ...

Dog friendly places to visit in the Peak District

Hello everyone, In a few weeks time we are taking Callie on her first family holiday (we won't count the one night we went camping when none of us got much sleep!) to the Peak District. Obviously we will be doing lots of lovely walks with her, but does anyone know of anywhere dog friendly that we ca...

Re: Essex Doodle Walk - pics

Looks like you had a great time. Hope we can make a doodle walk one day as I know Callie would love it!

Re: HERTS ESSEX AND LONDON DOODLE 30 JUNE

Sorry we can't make this meet up again as we are going to the summer fete of my daughter's secondary school that she will attend in September, and I really want her to be able to have another look round and meet some of the other girls again. Hopefully one of these times our kiddies will be a little...

Re: Howling

Thanks everyone.

Callie howled outside while we were eating breakfast this morning so I called her in, stroked her and said "thank you for looking after us but there's nothing to worry about" in a happy voice!

We'll see what happens :)

Re: Goughnuts

Can you leave them with a goughnut?

ATM all I can leave Callie with is a black extreme kong and a stag bar as nothing else stands up to her chewing. She isn't destructive at all with anything that isn't hers, she just likes to have a good chew!

Re: Howling

Callie has been lying asleep in the lounge most of the evening, totally relaxed and then wandered into the conservatory and howled. It could be she heard/sensed someone go by. We told her to be quiet as we don't want her to wake our children or annoy the neighbours. Sometimes I go outside if she sta...

Howling

Just recently Callie has started howling every now and then when she is in the garden, as if something has frightened her. She also barks if anyone walks past the garden (we are a corner plot) which she never used to. I can't think of anyway in which we treat her differently so that she feels she ne...

Re: AND HOW DO YOU CLEAN YOUR DOGS TEETH

I use a natural product from CSJ dog food. It is a mixture of dried canadian kelp and seaweed which you sprinkle on their food. It helps clean their teeth and Callie doesn't have doggy breath! As it says on their website the 100g pot does last months. I've only recently bought my 2nd one and Callie ...

Callie's 1st birthday

Callie is 1 today! This means that she has been living with us for 10 months - I can't believe how the time has flown. She has had a lovely day and thoroughly enjoyed shaking her new kong wubba round the garden after her walk this morning. When I went to work I left her with a few treats in her new ...

Re: Race for life

I'm doing it with my daughter too! I don't know if each course is different but I'm sure in previous years I've read in the info that dogs aren't allowed to do it. It always seemed strange to me that I could run round tripping over people's buggies but dogs weren't allowed! Good luck with it whateve...
