Re: Trips to Ireland

Sorry to hear about Ireland; it's good to know for future. One place to consider which might surprise you is France. When Bella and I went on our travels last year, it was almost a silly question to ask 'are dogs allowed.' It would be like asking if Children or Old People were welcome! Italy was als...

Grooming table: Any recommendations?

Hello! I'm looking to purchase a grooming table for our 25kg Bella. She's relatively good about being groomed, but does have a tendency to lie down. I'd like to get a table which would have harnesses for her head so she doesn't try to lick and nibble me, and for her backside so she doesn't sit/lie d...

Re: Yet another North West Doodle Meet!

Sorry we missed this one-- still settling in, but Bella is loving her new garden! The doods had a fab time once again at Royden park today with another good turn out. The weather was kind to us; saving it's downpour until we left the car park on the drive home! What a stroke of luck! Jaybz, hope the...

Re: Yet another North West Doodle Meet!

With a bit of luck, we'll be up to our elbows in moving boxes; with even more luck, we'll be all moved in and ready for some doodle mania!

At this stage, I'd say count us out though. :(

Re: My puppy doesn;t love me - is it a teenager thing

I sometimes think our Bella doesn't love me. Although she's a real velcro dog at home, and is with me pretty much day and night, when I have gone away and come back, she rather cooly looks at me as if to say, 'Oh, it's you; you're back. Wuddeva!' Anyone else she sees that she knows, it's as if they'...

Re: Poodle Cross at Crufts!

Aaah! That explains the undivided attentiveness! And my labradoodle must've got her brains from the labrador side of the family! She's a bit lazy and not too clever!

Re: Apologies for all the questions!. What to do in car??!

My last dog suffered from motion sickness, so unless she could see out the window, she wasn't happy. For 13 years (until she died), she always had to look out the window. Thankfully, she overcame the vomiting, but without her coping tactics, I imagine she'd have been quite miserable. Not sure that's...

Does anyone live near a wind turbine?

Well, it does say off-topic, doesn't it?!? Yes, huz and I are planning on moving to the country (currently live in suburban South Manchester) to be closer to work and to nature. One of the properties we're considering may end up having a 130 foot wind turbine only 1 kilometre away from the house. Do...
