Re: A scare

I've recently had a very similar situation with a GSD! At the back of my house, there is a track through a woods which leads into 3 big adjoining fields. The local dog walkers use this all the time, and there are little pathways through the fields. It's great as there are no cars anywhere near! One ...

Re: 1 year old and not eating much anymore

Hi Liz,

Thanks for the info - you have very valid points there! That's what I'll do - I'll get the two types of Orijen and give her a bit of variety!

When you say a 'strip' of nature's menu, which product do you use?

Cheers,

Em

Re: 1 year old and not eating much anymore

Yes, I'd agree that her weight has just about plateaued now so I wouldn't expect her to be growing really anymore. Although she looks like she could do with filling out a bit, which I guess will come with time. I've not much of the puppy food left, so will look to swap over to adult food next. And y...

1 year old and not eating much anymore

Hi all, My miniature australilan labradoodle has just turned one. She gets 3 meals a day and is on the Orijen puppy food. She's always been super excited when it comes to food - to the point where she's hassling me at lunchtime if i'm a bit late for feeding her her lunch! And she's always wolfed her...

Re: dog onesie for drying a wet doodle - K9 clean coats?

Thanks for all the replies! Some fab pictures there - and some very stylish doodles in their jackets/dressing gowns

And yes good point Liz about not leaving them on too long - I imagine you end up with the 'stale wet towel/dog' smell otherwise

Re: dog onesie for drying a wet doodle - K9 clean coats?

Ooh they look interesting Bid... Sue, where did you get your onesies from? I saw the equafleece page but they didn't seem to have many pictures of dogs in the suits so I wasn't sure how good they were. The jumpers look to be good quality but I want her back legs to be covered a bit also if I can as ...

dog onesie for drying a wet doodle - K9 clean coats?

I wondered whether anyone on here had any onesies / fleece type all-in-ones for helping dry a soggy doodle? My aussie doodle has a wavy fleece coat which isn't trimmed overly short, so when she ends up completely soaked after a long walk in the rain, I think being able to get her in something fleece...

three meals down to two?

Hi everyone,

I've seen a post about dropping pup's meals from 4 to 3, but wondered at what age most of you dropped your doodles meals from 3 to 2?

I've got an 8 month old miniature aussie doodle and she'd happily have 5 meals a day I think if it was up to her!

Thanks :)

Re: Dogs and swimming

May I ask a question for all you doodle owners who's dogs love the water? I'm going through the same thing at the moment with my 8 month doodle; she's happy paddling but still isn't quite sure what water is and is rather uncertain about it all! However, I'm sure we'll have the same thing one day whe...

gun dogs?

So there I was, happily out walking Amber in the fields at the back of my house... I bumped into a guy who i've seen before who has two labrador retrievers and a cocker spaniel. He goes shooting regularly and all his dogs are trained gun dogs. The cocker is only 1, so Amber loves having a run around...

Re: Off lead for the 1st time. Advise please.

Hi! I got my first puppy just after Christmas, so it's been a steep learning curve for me also! On recommendation from the lady who was holding the puppy classes we were attending, we also bought a 20 metre recall lead. I started by going out onto a big playing field with my sister, away from traffi...

Re: kicking out back legs and chewing on feet

Thanks guys, I wondered if it was perhaps something like that, given that it's all 4 paws! I bathed her feet with her special shampoo and she's much more settled now, so hopefully she'll be ok by morning! Poor thing, it drives them mad doesn't it!

kicking out back legs and chewing on feet

Hi everyone, I'm hoping someone can shed a little light on what's going on with Amber at the moment - i'll ring the vet in the morning if necessary but they're obviously shut now. We went out for a walk in the woods/fields at the back of my house and I let her off the lead for a good run around. Whe...

Re: doodles travelling in cars - what do you do?

Thanks for all the advice guys - some real food for thought there! I'll have a nosy around the web at the suggested links and see if that help make my mind up. I do worry about the crumple zone at the back of a car, but then again if i'm getting a crate custom made to fit the boot size, surely that ...
