Re: 6 months and eating less
Thanks both - she is back to normal today so was just a slight blip. Being a first-time dog owner I do tend to worry when anything out of the ordinary happens so appreciate your wisdom!

Re: 6 months and eating less
Hi Denise She's not hot and bothered - in fact it's quite cool here this morning. She LOVES her food - will eat anything and everything usually. She's drinking fine - quite a lot, but then it has been warm here. Playing as usual - full of beans in fact. In fact, seems completely normal apart from th...

6 months and eating less
Yesterday morning and this morning, Coco has only eaten about half of her food, although She ate the full amount yesterday evening. This is very unlike her as she is usually a right greedy guts and wolfs everything down at the rate of knots. She is still lively and happy and her stools are normal. S...

Re: Advice on food
Oops - just seen your other thread and mention of three hour trip to pick Daisy up. You're obviously nowhere near Cardiff! I've skim-read so someone else may have suggested already, but if you visit the all about dog food website you'll get some great info on the various foods available.

Re: Advice on food
Great news. If you live close to Cardiff I can highly recommend Sig and Viv's in Dinas Powys. They sell a great range of prepackaged raw and high quality kibble and are lovely people. I feed my pup Nutriment raw and also have Gentle cold pressed kibble as a back up if I forget to defrost!

Re: New Puppy
Hi Helen, welcome to the forum! Our Coco is a small medium Aussie doodle and currently weighs 6.4kg - she will be 18 weeks in Sunday. As the Aussie doods are pretty predictable I would say that Zack, in comparison, is likely to be nearer a standard size - certainly not miniature! As others have said...

Re: Apricot medium size Labradoodle puppy for Early June?
Davina at Courtlands has two left, looking at her site. Ready 10th May - not sure if that's too early? We had our puppy from her and are very pleased - she has a lovely temperament and had been well socialised by Davina. She's in Usk.

Re: New food recommendations? Need help!
Coco is four months and came from the breeder on Royal Canin puppy. I'd also seen that this was a poor quality food so changed her over quite quickly to Nutriment which is a pre-prepared frozen raw food. She loves it and her poos are very healthy! I also have a bag of Gentle which is cold pressed dr...

Re: A welcome from my little monster.
Oh - he is adorable! Looks very similar to my Coco. They can all be little monsters sometimes, can't they?

Re: How much to feed?
Thank you. The rib/knuckle test is good - she seems fine, plenty of energy, poos nice and firm so I guess she is fine. She just seems to be hungry all the time! I suppose if raw is up to 10% of body weight I could increase it a bit and keep an eye on things. She will be 13 weeks tomorrow. I did read...

Re: How much to feed?
Well no, that can't be right because that would be 900g a day! So it must be ideal weight for age, but how do I know what that should be?
She's put on 300g in almost 3 weeks - is that about right?

How much to feed?
This might sound a silly question but I'm not sure if I'm feeding Coco the correct amount. I'm feeding her Nutriment puppy food and it says on the carton to feed 4-6% of ideal weight. I took this to mean her actual weight (assuming it is healthy, which I think it is) but when I tried googling to con...

Re: Toilet training question
Hmm, yes Nick, I wonder if by encouraging them to wee so frequently it might stop them developing better control? I took Coco out just now as it had been almost 3 hours since her last wee. She did do one, as I was encouraging her, but it was only teeny so she probably could have held on longer. The ...

Re: Toilet training question
Thanks Anne, I've started to keep a diary. The only thing it shows so far is that there is no pattern! Duration between wees was anything from an hour to four hours yesterday! This morning i came down to find she'd wee'd and pooed in her crate and managed to leave little wet footprints all over her ...
