Re: How little food can she survive on?
I have just weighed her to see if she has actually lost any weight and she is 100g less than the last time I weighed her about 3 months ago. She has been groomed lately and the groomer took off more than I wanted which has made her look smaller and thinner!!

How little food can she survive on?
Winnie is 14 months now and an absolute delight. She had her first season a month ago and all went well. She has never been a big eater. I have tried a couple of different foods, always good quality. She is currently on Akela Wholeprey. I feed her two meals a day, breakfast and evening meal. I give ...

Re: Kids toys

If only it were that simple!!

My oldest two (10 & 7) are pretty good but my 2 year old isn't so good. If I am in the room I can just say 'leave it' and she will but my problem is when I am out of the room.

Kids toys
How can I train Winnie to leave the kids toys alone? She has lots of her own toys and she plays with them a lot. If she finds one of the kids toys she slinks off under the table and chews! We have had tears over missing limbs on dolls etc. I am, and always have been, very consistent at not letting h...

Still Mouthing at 9 1/2 months!!
Long time no see!! Winnie is doing great! She coped really well while we were away for a couple of weeks in the summer holidays. We missed her so much. So glad to get back to her. :D She is doing so well in so many areas. But she still mouths us! Not sure if this is normal for a pup her age (9 1/2 m...

Re: Dry pads
I'm sure it's not from hot pavements as we have been walking her first thing and last thing in the day to avoid hot pavements. One path we walk does have some broken, although well trodden down, glass on it. I wondered if a bit of that had cut her pad but regardless they are rough and dry. She doesn...

Dry pads
Winnie's feet pads are very dry. Her front left is peeling a little, it looks like a blister. I wondered if there was anything I could put on it or add to her diet to help.

Re: Size at 8 weeks
Winnie was 3.2kg when we picked her up at 8 weeks and 2 days. She is 7 months now. I haven't weighed her for a couple of weeks but last time I did she weigh her she was 8.7 kg. I thought she would be bigger than she is! She still has some growing to do but I don't think she will get too much bigger....

Re: Traces of blood
Update; The vet treated Winnie for Giardia. It didn't make any difference. So they gave her a different wormer, thinking it might be tapeworm. Once again no change! They got me to collect 3 consecutive poo sample to test. All came back clear! In the meantime I changed her food to a grain free kibble...

Re: teething
Winnie started loosing hers around the same age. She lost the front little ones and her canines quickly. I really wanted to keep one of her baby canine teeth (cos I'm a bit strange like that!) but they just disappeared. They swallow most of them. Then one day I was playing with her in the garden and...

Re: Traces of blood
Thanks for your replies. I took Winne to the vet this morning and they have started treating her for a parasite. She is on a probiotic and treatment for the parasite. She is not allowed to eat anything but her kibble. She takes the probiotic fine from a syringe but we are struggling with the tablet....

Traces of blood
Winnie has done a couple of poos with traces of blood in them! (Sorry if you're eating your breakfast!!) She is on the same food that we have always fed her. We are really careful about what she eats extra to her kibble. We do give her a bit of yogurt at teatime but we have stopped this to see if it...

People shy
Winnie has just been to stay at my sister and brother in laws for three days while we were away. It was really hard leaving her but I didn't make a fuss. She has met them a few times before but hasn't really spent a lot of time with them. She relaxed with my sister in law fine but spent the whole th...

Re: Winnie
Thanks guys, she is gorgeous!
She is a mini dood. She weighs 8.7 kg at 24 weeks. I'm guessing she will be around 12 kg fully grown.
