Four year old suddenly barking at other dogs
Luther is a beautiful 4 yr old who has always enjoyed his walks. All of a sudden, he has begun to bark and lunge at certain dogs while on the lead (usually ones he perceives bigger or “tougher” ie German shepherds or staffies etc). Most of them are older gentle dogs who do not react to him and pose ...

8 month old cutting down on food
My boy Luther is now 8 months old and we are coming into the Australian Summer so temperatures heating up. He has just started picking at his breakfast (only eating a small amount of it) but still eating his evening meal. Everything else completely normal but he has begun sleeping a fair bit during ...

Unlike other Forums, this site only ever offers kind words and friendly advice. Maybe it's just the nature of Labradoodle owners!!!

Creatures of habit?
I have to make an emergency dash back to the UK as my mother has just passed away. Our 7 month old choc labradood is going to be left in the hands of my two sons who are both at uni but in and out of the house all day. My boy has a fairly set routine and normally follows me around the house when he ...

Re: 6 month old off the lead?
Just a quick update: Armed with a pocket full of cooked chicken, I took Luther to a large local park on a quiet, warm evening and let him off the lead to chase the ball. Each time he retrieved the ball, I called for him to come and it worked perfectly!! He had a couple of romps with other dogs then ...

6 month old off the lead?
Luther is 6 months old and a placid , beautiful nature (when he's not being a daft puppy). I walk him twice a day and he has a run in a smallish, enclosed dog park 3 times a week. I would love to let him off the lead near the river or beach but haven't had the courage. So many people have told me I'...

How much sleep for 6 month old ?
So new to all of this! Luther is nearly 6 months and is a treasure. He sleeps all night but I get nervous if he sleeps in the evening as well ( 20 years since I had babies and I was the same with them!). He has just begun taking himself off to his basket in the kitchen to sleep at about 7pm. He will...
