Chewing

Hedley is 17 months old and is now very well behaved and has calmed down (on the whole!) At night he was sleeping in his crate, settled all night until a couple of months ago when he would bark at about 3am until one of us came downstairs. On being let into the garden he didn't need to wee etc I jus...

Flatulent Boy! Advice Needed

Hello All! Just wondering if anyone had any advice? Hedley is really well health wise and will be 1 year old on 1st October. He can be quite ahem...stinky at times but this week his flatulence is pretty bad. We're away with him on holiday, still eating the same food as at home which is James Wellbel...

Re: When to neuter?

Thank you for your replies - definitely given us food for thought. From the sounds of it Hedley is still too young for castration. He isn't showing aggressive behaviour or any 'humping' but my worry is the risk of testicular cancer. Also he could run after a female in season and get run over or othe...

When to neuter?

Hedley is just 10 months old and we're wondering when he should be neutered? When he was really young the vet advised waiting to ensure he is fully grown so reduced testosterone won't have a negative effect on his ligament/bone growth. I've looked at pros and cons on the internet but wonder if anyon...

Re: Biting/pulling clothes

Hi. Boy does that sound familiar! Hedley was exactly the same. I got advice from a dog trainer who visited us and saw him in action. His advice when pulling/biting/ clothes was ti stand still, fold your hands into 'fists' and put hands under your arms and turn your back in the dog, ignoring him/her....

Eating cat mess!

Hedley has just decided in the last week that he likes to eat cat poo outdoors (sorry to introduce such a horrible topic!) We have cats, as do some of our neighbours so whilst we clear mess up daily from our garden inevitably he finds some. Does anyone else have the same issue? Any idea why he does ...

Double choc F1 born Worksop 1 Oct 2015

I would love to hear from any of Hedley's sibling's owners. He was born 1 Oct 2015 in Worksop Nottinghamshire and was one of 7. I live at Bulwell, Nottingham and the breeder said one of the pups went to Top Valley/Rise Park which is very close. I'd love to hear from anyone who has any of his brother...

Length of puppy walks?

Hedley is now 16 weeks old and is walked twice daily 15 mins each walk. The vet advised not over doing it as a puppy to look after his joints etc as he grows. He has tonnes of energy and I think he's at the point of needing a bit more. Is it ok to extend the walks and for how long? He's not off the ...
