Re: How big will shs be
Always a bit of a guessing game. Daisy is 8 months now. She was a similar event Weight to yours at the same age. She is now about 12.5 kg and 18in to the shoulder. Her mum was a Labradoodle the size of a light weight Labrador and dad was a minature poodle. I don't think she has much more growing to ...

Re: Swapping over from kibble to raw
Unexpected bonus of raw feeding - Daisy now has the most delightful, small, hard poops! They are almost a joy to pick up.

Re: Swapping over from kibble to raw
We5kings - thanks for your response. I was thinking about changing her over as I want to give her the best nutrition I can . I draw the line at doing it from scratch and thought raw frozen commercial food would be the answer. I don't know if I am wasting my time as the debate over which food is very...

Re: Swapping over from kibble to raw
I gave her a chicken wing today and that came up as well. She didn't attempt to re eat it. I will try again though - I just need her to realise she hails from wolves...

Re: Swapping over from kibble to raw
IT was her first time with raw. She has had some tinned dog food before. This was very thick - it Woukd have been hard to spread so perhaps this didn't help. It was a mix of protein too. I will give a single protein a go and try to do it slowly. I just assumed it would be fine.

Swapping over from kibble to raw
I have been thinking about feeding Daisy a commercial raw food (Luna and Me) instead of her kibble (Canagan). Luna seem to be having trouble with delivery at the moment and so I thought I would test out a different one (natures..something) that I could buy locally. It seems to be advised that you sw...

Re: barking every time left alone...HELP
You have my sympathies. It's a stressful problem. I take Daisy to work with me and she is In my office a lot. She knows the drill, I am in and out and for different than amounts of time and she knows she can't always come. I got her used to this from a young age so she is usually fine with it but so...

Re: Hello. First dog. Say Hi!
He looks gorgeous and sounds like you have it all sorted. I take my 7 month old Daisy to work with me and she has settled in well there. I have a pen and trained all the adults there how to treat her. She has gone down a storm! I got her for similar reasons to you and I can honestly say it's the bes...

Re: Labradoodle Size
It's always fun to guess how big they will grow. Daisy is 7 months and her parents are roughly similar heights to your puppy's parents. Her mum is a Labradoodle slightly taller than a Labrador but light weight like a poodle. Her dad is a miniature poodle - one of the stocky variety. Daisy is light w...

Re: Bottom right fang wobbly. Baby teeth?
Hi I don't know what 'normal' with dog teeth is but Daisy is 7 months old and has suddenly developed a much more effective chew. She has finally started being able to destroy some of her toys so obviously something has developed in her mouth recently. Daisy had all her adult front teeth ages ago but...

Re: Puppy's first groom
I was wondering about Daisy's eye lashes. They are probably over an inch long - they are hilarious! It all makes sense now...they hold her fringe back. I learned something today. Thanks Bid!

Attention span and distractability
Daisy is now 7 months old and I have been working hard with her on general obedience. Without distraction she is very attentive and is able to do all the basic commands and the odd trick like high 5. However, there doesn't need to be much distraction before she loses the plot, loses interest or look...

Re: De-fleaing and worming
We5kings - that sounds very sensible!
I have treatments now so I will use them every other month or so I think.
I think he was a bit cheeky and I will be a bit more questioning next time.
To add to it, turns out Advocate doesn't cover ticks. A learning curve.
Thanks for your responses.

Re: Young Joints
Daisy is 7 months and at 12 weeks she was also about 5kg like Haggis (great name!). She now weighs 10kg, which makes her just about a medium sized dog, but perhaps a big, small dog. Who knows!
