Re: Golden Oldie with Pre-existing Conditions
Thanks for all you advice, we will see how we fare tomorrow with the insurers! Buster continues to tolerate her, she is very wary still of everything. She seems chuffed that she is allowed to roam the house and not confined to the kitchen. She has been playful towards Buster this evening in the gard...

Golden Oldie with Pre-existing Conditions
I am hoping all you doodle lovers will be able to point me in the right direction with pet insurance. We have recently with reluctance taken on a family member's 6 year old, spayed Rottweiler Bitch, as she was no longer wanted  . She has a pre-existing condition, at 4 and half she jumped from a...

Re: Insurance!
Thanks for the replies, sainsburys come out better on the review sites though they do increase their premiums by quite a bit over time is seems.. (Some of the popular and more expensive companies have some worryingly bad reviews) Sainsbury's are very good in the early years of a doodles life when y...

Re: WHICH DRIED FOOD AND WHY?
Hi Lou, Ozzie is really gorgeous! My girlies were started off on ukenuba at the breeders but this was proving toooo costly! We currently have them on Bakers but have been advised by ear specialist forum member, :D , that it may be the cause of my Gracie's ear infections so we may have to consider a...

Re: 5yr old cream boy for rehoming.
Hi Jags We may be in a position to take on another doodle, having had a rescue doodle before - Buster, he is now 3 years old. We are currently in the process of buying a house, offer has been accepted but might take up to 8 weeks for completion. We are in North Wales, in Snowdonia National Park but ...

Re: What time does your dood wake you up?
I think we have finally figured Buster wakes up at sunrise, so we always make sure the curtains are closed and have a thick lining. In winter, he tends to sleep in until 8:30am or 9am at the latest. In summer, we'll be luckily if we don't get woken up by 7am by him coming right up to us in bed nudgi...

Black Country Park, Iver
Sorry for short notice, but will be heading to Black Country Park this morning, there until 1:30pm probably by the lake near the dog friendly section. Buster doodle needs a swim as a treat as went to the doggy doctor yesterday for his rabies jab so he can start the ball rolling to get his very own e...

Re: Dog friendly floor?!
I'd say no to laminate, its far too slippery for dogs I find and also the more you mop it the more the finish can peel over time and I find it is very cold to the touch. Lino - Mum had this with cats, find with time it starts to warp unless it is sealed by a fitter from the outset. Tiles - You could...

Re: Doodle Friendly - Renault 1.4 Kangoo
I like Renault and did look at the Kangoo when I was looking for a dog /child friendly waggon last year If I didn't need four wheel drive I think I would have chosen it for myself, it's really practical isn't it......enjoy :) Its so economical petrol wise despite the size and the cheap insurance wa...

Re: Doodle Friendly - Renault 1.4 Kangoo
I am off to my sister's tomorrow and will try and take a photo of Buster (our doodle) & Alfie (my uncle's lab) sitting in the back. Will bribe them with a little puffed jerky so you get an idea of size. I put this thread in both reviews and general as its a bit of both really. You will definately ne...

Re: Help - Dirty Bottomed Doodle - Ew!!!
Same problem, don't have it often as he's now on premium food so his tools are firm. His stools can become soft and slightly runny sometimes after he's been swimming or like today he's got over excited about being in the new car. I tend to use 'decoupage' (craft) scissors or nail scissors wearing a ...

Re: No, we are laughing with you, not at you..
Lol, glad we are not the only doodle owners with twisted imaginations in how to entertain a doodle ha ha Buster has come to expect it and sometimes starts to realign himself so he is pulling at the tug rope with his side right next to your knees in the vain hope it will stop us from releasing the tu...

Re: Wet dog problem
I agree with Bid as Buster is extremly friendly towards other dogs, everyone is a potential friend he hasn't met. He doesn't seem to get it some dogs just don't or won't play and tries to cajole them into play by barking and doodle dashing. He is a proper mud magnet at the moment, even just taking h...
