Re: Help - again!

That must be a nightmare for you! Would he tolerate coconut oil in his food? It's worked quite well on my grandaughter's skin (eczema) but would be a bit difficult to put all over Bob. Has he been vaccinated recently? There's some research to say vaccinating is linked to allergies. I wish him better.

Re: Do you still vaccinate?

I would add that I would ALWAYS have a puppy vaccinated plus the first year's booster.

I'm not going to enter into a debate as it took me a LOT of research on qualified vets' sites before I made up my mind. I was just curious as to others actions, but don't want to answer uninformed questions.

Re: Do you still vaccinate?

There was probably a problem with the voting as I changed my email, it should be ok now. I had Rosie Titer tested. I have decided against the lepto vaccine as well as it's the worst of the lot, done a lot of reading up on it so hopefully I've made an informed choice, but I understand anyone not want...

Do you still vaccinate?

Hi all, haven't posted for ages, but I lurk around the edges all the time!

I've made up my mind on this hot debate, but was curious as to other doodle owners.

Re: Vaccinating and Tite testing

Beerock, as I read it, Schultz says that an animal vaccinated fully as a young animal has 5-7 years of immunity, therefore does not need annual boosters, but should be retested in a few years, not every year. My friend is considering Titer testing now, and not having a retest for possibly 3 or more ...

Vaccinating and Tite testing

A friend is thinking of going the no vaccinating/Tite testing route, and after reading up on it I thought I'd get your opinions :) Anyone gone down this road/had experience of this? It makes interesting reading, especially Schultz's opinions. (If you're not sure what I'm talking about, it's best to ...

Re: Itchy Holly

My friend used Advocate on her dogs and they scratched like mad for weeks, so I've never used it, I use Frontline. Could it be the Advocate?

Tea tree oil spray may help to reduce the itching, it works on my itchy arm where I got a wasp sting six weeks ago!

Re: Grey skin on tail, bumps, dried blood??

I posted about this recently! Rosie's doesn't bleed though. The hibiscrub doesn't seem to have helped it get better but it hasn't got any worse. Am now trying another suggestion of just soap, will give it a while longer and if no better will go to the vets .
