Re: waterproof dog walking jacket
Go to TK Maxx - OH and I have both got expensive, completely waterproof, windproof but breathable (you need them breathable on dog walks) coats from there at a fraction of the price of anywhere else.

Re: Hmmm
I think that the point is that there is lead contamination - so what other contamination might there be?
Lead is very dangerous. Even in small amounts!

Re: Throwing up at night
It might be that while a full tum has stopped him feeling sick, he is sensitive to pasta - wheat is not a natural food for dogs.
You could try the spoons of fish easily, tinned tuna or sardines or something! Lola seems sensitive to tomato though, I have to give her the one without.

Re: B&M Stores Rawhide Chew warning
Who are B&M? I now avoid all these chews even in Pets at Home as looking on the labels i found they all came from China. As baby food with melamine in came from there I just can't believe the chews are made in hygienic or properly prepared conditions so made a decision to only buy stuff made in Euro...

Re: What a wuss.
Well - if you were near a river it would be a crayfish (freshwater living) if you were near the sea then it would be a lobster (live in salt water). If near neither, I suspect it MUST have dropped off a tray of lobsters and crawled to the park!!

Re: Throwing up at night
Ah yes, we have that. It's not actually toothpaste really, it's meant the freshen their breath. Greeted with what could only be described as a strangled scream. She didn't like the taste, took quite a while spitting it out all over the back hall floor. And looking at me like I'd tried to skewer her ...

Re: Throwing up at night
Well - I have tried. She has some meat-flavoured toothpaste, and a doggy toothbrush, and she bites down on it... and that's that! Then she sort of rotates on the spot, extricates herself and lip-smackingly savours the rest of the toothpaste. Somewhere over the far side of the room. Toothpaste is not...

Re: Terrible Recall - Help please!!! Fenton Moments!
Lola did that EXACTLY - the looking at my treat, then running after the dog! I can only say that after going to Kennel Club lessons (she did bronze, silver and gold, but failed at gold because she wouldn't leave my side when she was supposed to stay) really did cure her. It's something to do with th...

Re: Throwing up at night
I agonise over food, so feel your pain, as we have the same thing, Lola gets a very small amount as she is on Orijen, so you can only up it a little at a time. If he isn't getting enough overall then upping his food a small amount (I'd go for 20 twice a day). But it sounds more as if he isn't gettin...

Re: Throwing up at night
Yes - bile normally means they are not being fed enough. Peanut butter is just as much an allergen to dogs as humans - it's also very rich and oily, I would certainly worry about filling a kong with it - you'd never naturally get such a rich paste in nature. Fish4 dogs do fish skin crunchy twists wh...

Re: Introducing Cookie 12 weeks xx
Welcome cookie - we got a gazillion toys for Lola so she could chew as much as she wanted, and made it clear she was only allowed those to chew - and i took the matt in the living room away for a while, and sprayed anything else she seemed interested in with nasty-tasting stuff. I'd say she stopped ...
