Re: Walking Lulu with my bike
Hi Dee I take Noodles out with the bike. We have a bungy lead that I also use for jogging. I wrap that around the handle bars and she runs about a metre away from the front wheel, along the footpath until we get to the tracks where she goes off lead. I just started by going slowly and watching where...

Re: Introducing a new pup to house rabbits - help!
Hello Emma We have a rabbit who mainly lives outside but runs around the house daily. As mentioned above, I'd introduce slowly. Let them get used to each other with a barrier between. It does depend on the dog's temperament if it will just see the rabbit as something to chase. Although Noodles will ...

Liz. I always love hearing about your and Lola's antics. Good to know that the animals were so inquisitive. Like the lion licking his lips

Re: Goes mad when I run!
Hi Emily I run with Noodles. I started by jogging around the field while she was off lead and doing her own thing when she was young. (You shouldn't run on the roads until their fully grown to protect their joints). Then I would pop her on the lead to run home so she had less energy, and she always ...

Re: Reeling him in when he barks
Can I just say thank you so much for taking the time to stop your dog barking when you are not in the garden :D We live next door to a young GSD who barks when I walk into a room near his garden, let alone open the door. If I go into my garden he launches himself at the fence, even though I always s...

Detox when starting RAW
Hello all, not posted on here for ages, but love to catch up now and again. I'm sure I read on here a while ago about the detox that occurs when changing to RAW? I've spent far too long searching to find it again. Does anyone know what thread it was on? I've got a friend whose 8 year old Staffy has ...

As Sampson seems to be the only Labrasmoothie out there, thought I'd post some pics of Noodles: http://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/i321/rebecca0969/noodles.jpg http://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/i321/rebecca0969/BA85118A-D0CD-446E-913E-6D60DAA5F347-145-000000089491DEB9_zpsc7db435b.jpg http://i1088...

Re: Forgot to close the rabbit cage and Oscar...
Noodles is 3. Our cat is 4. Our rabbit is only 10 months. Noodles and the cat are both scared of the rabbit. When we let him run around the kitchen diner or the garden they both leave the room as soon as possible, if I'm in the kitchen Noodles will sit by me with an "I really don't like this" look o...

Re: The intelligence of a 3 yr old?
Noodles did a clever thing this morning - every morning when I'm in the bathroom she sneaks onto a blanket at the bottom of my unmade bed (she knows only to lay on the blanket). When I make the bed I used to say off and tap her bottom. Today I realised as soon as I start making the bed she drags her...

Re: Too cold?
I'm glad this is being discussed. Since feeding Noods raw, sometimes I've no defrosted food, and as I can't bear to make her wait, I've put it down almost straight from the freezer. . My uneducated guess is that this is no worse bacteria wise, and as the first raw food she ever had was frozen chicke...

Re: Can you feed boiled chicken wings?
Liz, I've fed Noodles raw chicken wings, either thawed or frozen. For about a year. She gives them a really good crunch. She's only 10kg - I don't think much bigger than Lola? She loves them and has never had a problem.

Re: Whizz pop bang!
My heart went out to Noods last night. On New Years she was a shaking, salivating mess. But last night, she leaned into me and sat transfixed on Strictly, like she knew if she watched it, it would take her mind off the bangs outside (she never usually watches telly for more than a few minutes, and s...
