Re: Nell's spaying cancelled...............
I waited until Phoebe had her first season....and waited and waited and waited. She was nearly two when it finally happened, and then we had to wait another three months after that. In the end it was a good thing as she was fully mature when spayed.

Re: been to new vets
I recently changed vets too and am using the Companion Care practice at my local Pets at Home. They do seem to be more on the ball than the other vet I was using and explain things much better. In fact I'm off there today to pick up some Panacur for Phoebe - her fecal test came back with Giardia. He...

Re: Too posh to pooh-pick...
Poobagus caninitis - a strange new life form that breeds in the dark of coat pockets and handbags. Very hard to eradicate once they take hold, the poobagus caninitis thrives on the fluff and detritus found at the bottom of human pockets. Each time you think you've got rid of it, it seems to migrate ...

Re: grrrrr Lulu is going out the window
Well, Dee, she's certainly got you under control   If she's had a late night pee before she goes to bed she should be able to go all night. But if she can get Mum up at 2.30am, wow, that's just great!! i think you're right, you've created a habit and a new routine....now you have to break ...

Re: Fast doodles
Phoebe is pretty fast but being a medium she can't outrun the big guys. What I love is that she figures out if she has a chance - like, two dogs, one ball, throw, if Phoebe thinks she can get there first she'll go for it, but if the other dog has a head start, she just looks as me, shrugs and lets i...

As always, great pictures Paula! I'm thinking if Phoebe's going to run around in the mud and wet like this she needs a hair cut    Definitely the Scruffy-Wuffy-Doodle. She had a shower when she got home! Lovely to catch up with Ivy and Piet and Wendy and Tilly too. Archie was a star a...

Re: Natures Diet v Lovejoys Science Help please
With Phoebe's recent tummy/poo problems, I've switched too. I used allaboutdogfood.co.uk and, in the end, went with Canagan which gets 4.6 out of 5. It's grain free and has high meat content, but the main reason is for Phoebe's 21kg weight they recommend giving between 1 and 2 cans a day. Some brand...

Re: Grieving...........
The fur babies really do surprise us. I lost my beautiful cat, Mac, a few weeks ago. He'd spent his entire 11 years with his sister, Annie, but I didn't think she’d grieve as they were never cuddly-ups and she used to boss him about, even swiping him now and then. Annie was the independent one who’d...

What's an alternative to Hills I/D?
So the new vet wants Phoebe to have Hills I/D......and I don't! But what's a good alternative easy to digest food for a dog that's had problems for a while?
