Re: LOST Female doodle OSMOTHERLEY Northallton

Wonderful news that Soot was reunited with her family. Let's hope that we can say the same for Murphy, missing in our area since before Christmas.... He's a Patterdale and has been sighted but not caught... I don't think that his family know about DogLost. They're with Dog Tag.. If any members are i...

Re: Hello from me & Angus

I would second linny's advice on letting your little dood off-lead asap... My first doodle was made in the image of linny's (amazing) Huggy... and I made the error of not letting him off-lead until he was five months old (combination of the worst winter for yonks, and no-where safely fenced t...

Re: found a lump

Good news in that the vet isn't worried about it, Elaine... I know that it's a worry for you - but just keep an eye on it and check it regularly, as they suggest. Thank goodness it wasn't anything bad...

Re: Max distance for a wlk

The only thing I would add is to check that your dood is in good health. One of mine was diagnosed with HD at thirteen months old, and we have to make sure that he doesn't over-do the exercise. You wouldn't know that he'd got anything wrong with him, he just had a slightly strange gait. Our other do...

Hi KPear, Here is a link to a really good website with lots of information about doodles - http://www.doodletrust.com/education/about-doodles Have a good read about the myths surrounding the breed and tips about how to ensure you've found a good breeder, etc. They are an active and very intelligent ...

Re: Recall

Hi Archielabradoodle, It may be that Archie is just pushing his boundaries, he's at that age when hormones and 'cloth ears' kick in.... Our lad had really good recall which went to pot around this time - and also later on... I bought a Heim Biothane lead - you can attach it to their co...

Re: Labradoodle and Child?

Hi KPear, I think you're right in that both your little one and your doodle need to have their own spaces - but your link is to a baby gate... if your dood is of the larger size, you probably need to get a gate specifically for dogs... Our medium dood has managed to clear the baby gate we have in th...

Re: Anyone up for being snapped starkers!!!

Knowing our Ianto, he'd bolt at the (in)appropriate moment... Resulting in either a Leap Month, or a horrendous drop in sales...... Perhaps Labradoodle primary carers are more (ahem) 'experienced' - read 'older' - than Cockerpoo Mums... or maybe they're kept on their toes more, and ar...

Re: HAPPY NEW YEAR

Poor Echo, I really feel for him, Olly. I listened to an interview on R4 the other Saturday, about the guy who introduced German fireworks to this country... and promoted their use for parties and weddings... He advocated 'getting your dog used to loud noises' by listening to a CD. He obviously had ...

Re: To Puppy or not to Puppy, that is the question!

Hi Jay, One thing to remember, is that every Doodle has their own personality... As you may remember, our Ianto is submissive, boisterous, mischievous but utterly obsessed by people - he absolutely loves everyone! We passed on the opportunity to have one of his half-brothers as he was undergoing tre...
