Re: Labradoodle not liking Springers

Wading in a little late... but is it particular coloured Springers, Sarah? I know that one of the animal behaviourists says that Springers can't prick their ears, which makes them look permanently 'laid back' to dogs that can - which leads to confusion because the Spaniels are desperately trying to ...

Yorkshire Doodlers Sunday 4 Dec 2016 Pugneys

Hello, Short notice, I know, but the Yorkshire Doodlers (formerly known as the South & West Yorkshire Doodle Meet group) will be gathering at Pugneys country park, Wakefield for the first time in a while tomorrow... (they've been hanging out at Cannon Hall recently.) Due to a Santa's Boot Camp in th...

Re: Stout belly

As a puppy, Wyre would often bring up green-yellow froth if I didn't feed him immediately after I got up... Ianto was never interested in breakfast, so used to only have two meals a day. Since the Gremlin (Wyre) has been here though, they're both on three squares a day... I had enough trouble gettin...

Re: Does your doodle howl???

Ianto never used to howl... but his baby brother can yowl for England, and taught him, too :( So now, when we leave them both in the house together to go out for a merry hour or so 'sans Doodles', we are accompanied by a chorus of wails that would embarrass a Banshee... It can be quite spine...

Re: Has everyone abandoned ship?

We've been away, linny... Problems with the younger dood (the Gremlin) have diverted my attention - walking two doods separately is somewhat exhausting as I like to do at least two walks each a day with a toddle in the evening before bed thrown in... I still struggle with getting the bloomin' photos...

Re: Another one to add to the list

Poor lass! It's only since our little lad became fearful that I've come to understand doods with fears... He even starts at the lumps of stone people put on their verges to stop people parking on the grass and last week, was terrified of a weed (yes, a weed!) growing in the gutter... :( Have you tri...

Re: Thin puppy at 4 months

My vet tells me that so many people are used to seeing overweight dogs, they don't understand that dogs should be lean... My pup is definitely on the 'whippy' side, and would eat until he exploded given the chance! I give slightly less than suggested on the pack as manufacturers tend to overstate am...

Re: Seat belt for dogd

My lads have Kurgo harnesses, recommended as the safest short of the Sleepypod ones (which we can't use as the car is too old to have baby seat anchors). But as Lulu is quite a small dood, what about one of those little 'basket' type of dog seats, where the dog sits in it and they can see out of the...
