Re: Scullcap and valerian

Thank you for this, Anny... The pup is frightened on his own shadow nowadays and this may be helpful come November, when people around here appear to have access to mortar bombs... :(

Re: Dudes French "cousin"!

We've been allocated cabins on the Portsmouth/St Malo ferry when we 'only' had children that we refused to use... so low down, and such a dreadful smell of fumes I feared we'd never emerge alive... I'd much rather take an hour trip and drive the rest of the way... Yes, jon, I guess that Roker is pro...

Re: Advice please for hopeful new miniature labradoodle owne

We're with PetPlan too. They've been very good in paying out for Ianto's H.D. physio, plus ten sessions of hydro. We are about to find out whether they are good at paying out for his cancer operation... It's always a good idea to cover your pup to the hilt... if it turns out that they are hale and h...

Thanks Anny... Yes, he had to don the collar, but made its presence known on my calves... a la Ianto... He's spent the last week in Cornwall being mistaken for a poodle due to his shorn muzzle... Oh, the ignominy!!

Re: When to neuter?

We asked our breeder not to ESN our little dood, although his litter mates were. we wanted him to get the benefit from his hormones, as our other dood has HD. We were contracted to have him neutered by twelve months... He was always a nervous/timid little guy - and since he was neutered, he has chan...

Re: Remembering the Huggy Monster

Sorry Sarahdol, I've been away and not able to log on... Iant had a very small lump on his muzzle so I took him to the vet - they told me it was a scab or a wart, charged me £21 and sent me on my way... Two weeks later, it was much larger and an irregular shape so I was back again. They took one loo...

Re: Advice please for hopeful new miniature labradoodle owne

Hi KatieB, Welcome to the world of doodles... I would advise that you get insurance cover as soon as possible - preferably the covered for life type. And ensure that your little dood is socialised with as many people as possible as soon as you can. If you have friends with properly protected dogs (a...

Re: Seasonal Grass seed warning to new owners

Our hydrotherapist's dog developed an awful ulcer on her hind leg... it was a huge hole! They now think that a grass seed entered via her mouth and then worked it's way through her body before ending up in her hind leg... Fortunately, she has now recovered but it's an eye-opener... It took me ages to work out Oscar's profile picture..... :D
Love the new advert... Someone on a doodle FB site drew my attention to it, as I don't get to watch much T.V. at the moment!

Re: Kibble vs. wet food

Hi justvera, I can't advise on how much raw food your doods should have, but I would advise that they need to have a range of different meats including muscle meat, offal and a certain amount of bone. I'm in the process of getting my dood back onto raw (I stopped when we had the new pup as I wasn't ...

Re: Remembering the Huggy Monster

Oh linny, I haven't been on the forum for a while, and have just read your tribute to Huggy... it's made me cry. You are so right about our loveable rogues - and the unavoidable heart-break they cause. My own particular pirate, The Artful Dodger, recently had to have a tumour removed from his muzzle...
