Re: Dog Car Barriers??

We could'nt find a dog guard that fit the car and after Poppy got quicker and craftier about chewing through the harness strap, OH made a guard...from 'tile batten' and fixed it with extra strong cable ties. Works a treat and gives her a new project to try and chew her way through to the front!

Re: Off topic, advice please?

My older sister comes to stay every year from abroad which is usually fine, one year though she was an utter bitch to me and my family, she has never apologised, but has tried to make up for it in subsequent years. I have forgiven her, but am now wary of her, I feel as though this is a side of her t...

Re: Garden Spring Clean & Flowers

My precious Rose garden is fenced off by trellis made by OH from batten, but Poppy Green still manages to stick her head through to chew the ends of my Rose bushes! she seems to avoid the thorns somehow. I am not allowed anything spilling over the edge, she keeps that trimmed...she also stands up ag...

Re: Any ideas why she does this?

Poppy Green 'collects' stuff and hides them in her 'secret' place under a big conifer by her Dad's shed, she has quite a collection now. Only thing is, is not HER stuff...it's tools from the shed, sandpaper's a favourite, plastic bottles from the re-cycling box, anything she can pinch from Grandma's...

Well done for adopting Diesel, there's something special about an adopted Trust dog, they are so well looked after by the fosterers. Our Oscar settled really quickly when we adopted him, I'm sure it was because he was happy win the foster home. You're in for lots of fun. Best wishes from us all.

Re: Well hello!

Is it Edie from the Doodle Trust? Good for you! we got the wonderful Oscar from them. The fosterers give so much care and devotion that I'm sure Edie will settle quickly despite her upsets. She looked so lovely, I'm glad she has a nice home, I would secretly have them all and would love to foster, b...

Re: Showing off, clever doodle proud mummy alert!

I just read this to Poppy Green....especially after the 'incident' with our new tenant, who is a vet....and doing all the right turning her back, ignoring until quiet stuff, Popps was jumping HEAD HEIGHT, pulling her clothes, running in circles around her to avoid me trying to get a hold, she had be...

Re: Mast cell tumour on Oscar Green

3 weeks now and the tumours are almost gone! He is feeling the side effects of the treatment now, very hungry and tired, so extra light kibble and snacks, lots of rest and gentle walks. He is so happy and loving still. Another 3 weeks to go, and I hope he will be ok for a break from the treatment. W...

Re: Hiding from harness :0(

Poppy Green sulks putting her harness on, but I am sure it is because it's time to behave! she chewed up a 'halti' type and refused to walk anywhere for ages in case she had to have another one on, but is ok in the 'easy-walk', she just hates having to be sensible, her trick is to keep a couple of s...

Re: Tess has been spayed- how long until they do a doodle do

Poppy Green did NOT want her temperature taken at her after spay check-up...3 nurses and 2 vets wrestling match ensued....no luck! but! she did then manage a humungus, 5 day late poo, right outside the surgery door, so at least they did some good! Love to Tess, it will all be back to normal soon, it...

OH took the Doods to the Huntspill river as usual but it was so wet and windy Oscar refused to get out of the car, Poppy tried to tough it out but got back in very quickly when told [never usually happens!] so no walkies today..pity the poor dogs and owners who havent had anywhere to walk for weeks ...

Re: Well I gave in :(

My OH or me have always slept with the dogs during any upset or stressful times, new puppy, season, spey, new dog, post op, and we always got over it and back to bed within days. Why stress out? bed down on the sofa until everything settles down, there's nothing worse than laying awake listening to ...

We realised that the lumps are shrinking already...3 people commented independently, and when I checked, I could hardly feel the very small ones, its not too soon to be excited is it?

Mast cell tumour on Oscar Green

Oscar [Green] has had a week of steroid and chemo tablets to treat mast cell tumours with no side effects so far, still Dashing, loving his food, up for games with Poppy [Green], but it's hard to tell the rest of the time as his favourite occupation is snoozing....and then some... The tumours on his...
