Re: Mast cell tumour
Thanks Lianne, it is such a comfort to hear others experiences. When we got the results my OH was inconsolable he'd become so attached to Oscar, even the vet said she did'nt envy me telling him. But reading him these messages have really helped us. He is feeling brave enough to go and have a chat wi...

Re: Mast cell tumour
Oh thank you, Clare, I had never heard of it or know any-one else who had, it does sound positive. I don't think I could put a dog through chemo' either, [having had it myself and left with life long damage now.]
Even if we only have him a bit longer we will make every moment count.

Apparently spaying is voluntary, so it's 'our fault' for risking it.....! [we have changed to another insurer] the emergency op' was double the price of the spay!Bid wrote:Poor boyFIngers crossed it's the mildest version.
I am surprised that the emergency spay repair wasn't covered - did they say why?

Re: Poppy and Oscar Green photos at last!
Thanks to their big sisters, Poppy and Oscar Green can at last be seen, does'nt Oscar look like he owns that sofa now? it's ok, Poppy owns the other one! so it was great to find them sharing and snuggled after being left alone for the first time.

Re: Mast cell tumour
We will know the grade about a week after the op'. The Trust have a disclaimer in the adoption agreement, I have let then know, but havent heard back, so I'm not expecting anything. It would help just to have the 200 adoption fee back. We were planning a quiet Xmas any-way! The only present any-one ...

Mast cell tumour
Any-one had experience of this on their dog? Our new rescue, 4 year old Oscar has one... [only with us a week and completely at home.] Got the results of a lump we had investigated, and it's cancer. He has an op' on Wednesday, then tests to see what grade etc. We are devasted, nearly lost our Poppy ...

photobucket and ASUS tablet...
Does anyone else use an ASUS tablet? and if so, how do you get photobucket to upload onto this site? My daughter managed it once, but can't seem to do it again, I have tried following the guide but the tablet seems to do it differently....any ideas? I am dying to put up some pics of Poppy and Oscar ...

Re: Oscar and Poppy Green, fur
Oh dear Austin, [Poppy would be proud of you though!]. Spray on conditioners are out then...I am lucky Oscars so good and he has such fine soft, fur it does'nt take much to tidy him up, Pops is such a scruff ball she actually does'nt look any different, except for 10 minutes when dry from a bath.

Oscar and Poppy Green, fur
Oscar is settling in so well I forget it's only the 5th day! I have started to de-knot his fur around his ears and odd places, he's so placid just nods off. Poppy watches scathingly as if this is no way for a proper Dood to behave, where's the bouncin' an' grabbin' an' runnin' off! hummph.... Anyway...

Re: second dog..
A very peaceful night, after a bit of tussling with OH's pillow duvet, he slept on the sofa to keep the peace, [with the Doods, not me] but not a peep all night. Oscar has not been allowed on the sofa before and is not attempting to follow Poppy into her fave end. He's big enough to fuss on the floo...

Re: second dog..
Oscar's here! very emotional busy day, 2 hours each way, lovely introductory walk, I was a bit taken aback how big he is! Poppy kept staring at me all the way home as if to say ''Mum, we've accidently got unnuver Doodle in the back!'' ''Mum, he's come in our house!'' ''MUM! WHY?'' After a lot of cha...

Re: second dog..
Home checker seemed suitably impressed, I'd nagged about being on best behaviour, and even Poppy was reasonable....so, tomorrow we go to meet Oscar from the Labradoodle trust website, at his foster home and hopefully bring him home to be a new big brother for Poppy. Paws crossed...,
