Re: How do you keep your doodles warm now the weather turnin

I think I'd sleep in his crate sounds cosier than my bed lol. I prob won't bother with a coat for her then she does have a water resistant one which we use camping, but I don't use it at home as usually a towel or blow dry is sufficient in the rain. Think all our doodles are spoilt lol! I bet everyo...

Re: Pet names for our Doods

Lottie gets shortened to lot, or I call her my ickle teddy bear.
Kids call her puppy this is usually when I've caught her doing something naughty and the kids all chime in "she's just a puppy mom" lol

How do you keep your doodles warm now the weather turning

Do they wear coats? Have extra blankets in bed?

Also I case it does snow is it ok to be walked on the snow? As the kids already have plans of sledding with the dog and teasing her with throwing snow balls (balls that vanish on impact)

Re: getting another dog for seperation anxiety

Thanks liz I will definitely look into this! It's also been nice as I think my son deep downs acknowledges her behaviour as it's the last thing that he remembers before waking up to paramedics and over the past few weeks their relationship has really blossomed

Re: getting another dog for seperation anxiety

We do believe so as 5 mins before it happened she was constantly hassling him and licking his face him being only 6 this behaviour was totally out of character as she has learnt that the kids don't like that full on behaviour and she hasn't done it since. It convinced us that much when we woke up to...

Re: getting another dog for seperation anxiety

Thanks for the advice people :D me and hubby had a good lengthy talk about it last night and I decided that another dog right now is not the best solution as I don't think I could take the stress of having 2 dogs that did this. We occluded that this all got worse a couple of weeks ago when my son ha...

Re: getting another dog for seperation anxiety

The problem with getting an older dog is finding one that is the breed, age and sex your after also can be hard to find dogs that can be rehomed with young children, many rescues seem to shy away from saying they ok with younger children. As like people they can probably tolerate their own family chi...
