Re: Kennel Cough; a poll

Meg had a kennel cough vaccination last July before going into kennels. She came home from kennels (one week stay) with a cough which was later diagnosed as kennel cough. This developed, in spite of four trips to the vet, into pneumonia leading to 6 weeks of anti-bio, steroids, lung drain under gene...

I was under the impression that one ordinary ( i.e not high dose ) in their food daily was fine. Please let me know if this isn't the case. Thanks Lindsey

Re: Best Puppy Food

Hi there, just to reassure you we too went through the best puppy food angst with Meg now 2 years old. She came to us on Eukanuba large breed pup food which we gradually changed to Hill's like you. The problems we had were ENORMOUS poo's and many of them. After lot's of experimenting and getting a b...

Re: Re-home with food guarding issues, advice please....

Thank you Bid for the link which I have read carefully. Very interesting. Thank you also Kate for alerting us to the other possibility of joining another dog in the household and other guarding issues arising. Meg is VERY laid back and also a submissive dog. She has no food issues and I know I can t...

Re: Re-home with food guarding issues, advice please....

We haven't visited even yet. I just wanted to know as much as possible before we go. He seems lovely, from what I hear, in other ways but really don't want a major problem. He is being re-homed due to lack of time to exercise him and the owners seem keen also to make a good choice. We also appreciat...

Re-home with food guarding issues, advice please....

Any advice on food-guarding? We are about to investigate a re-home (Spinone) as a companion dog for Meg, our female labradoodle. He is neutered and 2 years old but guards his food. Until we meet and assess the situation it is naive to think he may be suitable (but this is the only problem he has.......

Re: What do you feed your puppy on?

Meg,( 2years old on the 7th May) has Burn's dry mixed with a little Nature Harvest or Nature-diet, a twice weekly can of sardines in oil or scrambled egg or cottage cheese. She also enjoys the occasional raw chicken wing. Her coat is shiny, she is full of energy, her teeth are gleaming white!! PS/ S...

Re: Kennel cough vaccination

Meg was just one year when she got it. I think I'm right in thinking there is only one vaccine but lots of strains of kennel cough. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
