Thank you, thats reassuring. I am practising a little freedom with the extending lead and will let you know how it goes. The beach is a good idea as we live in Norfolk not far from great beaches and once the children are back at school I would imagine they will be pretty quiet. Thanks again. Lindsey

First time off lead... A scary prospect

Hi, I,m Lindsey and our 4 month doodle bitch, Meg, has not been off-lead yet. Does anyone have any advice for how and when to do this or should I wait until her pup training classes are over. I know the food rewards will help but feel nervous in case she runs away.

Hi , she looks great! Our vet recommended dry food Eukanuba. Meg has had no problems and her tum was runny when she arrived. I too am 'house-proud' but you have to learn to let go, its only muck and life's too short to worry about the odd poo accident. Meg at 13 weeks is 90% reliable without a crate...
