Re: Kennel cough vaccination

Meg had the vaccine last June. It was about 35pounds. She got kennel cough and this led to Pneumonia. The strain she had was not covered by the vaccine. Ask your vet lots of questions before you get it done and make sure they tell you all the pitfalls. I speak from experience and a hefty vet bill!!

Re: Help please in a panic!!!!!

Last summer (2009) Meg came back from a spell in kennels with a cough although she had had the vaccination against kennel cough. She was initially treated with anti-biotics which had no effect and although fine in herself, she was lethargic for a young dog (1 year old) and I kept returning to the ve...

Re: Calling All Norfolk Residents

I totally agree with the last posting!!! We are in Norwich and it is the best kept secret that Norfolk is so fantastic (oops!) We havent made it to many meets recently because of my husband's work commitments but will soon be up and running. Have recently made contact with Debbie and Barney ( Meg's ...

Re: Smelly boy even though he has been to groomers & not eating

Hi, it sounds like you're besotted with Charlie which is great. Our dog, Meg, has never eaten just dry food. We give Burn's rice and chicken but it has to be mixed with a quarter pack of Nature's Harvest or Nature Diet and a couple of tins of sardines a week. We were told dogs 'taste with their nose...

Re: what does your dood sleep on?

Meg has a soft fleecy blanket. It is full of nibbled holes and regularly clogs the filter in our washing machine with hair !!! She brings it to show guests and people visiting and 'worries' when she sees it on the washing line. We have gone through several soft beds- all chewed. Had an embarrrassing...

Re: Indigo collartags.......BRILLIANT!!!!!

Apologies to Bid!!! Thank you for finding these, totally great and without the annoying tinkle the loose tags make too. I am thinking our cats may 'need' them too but then again that tinkling collar does scare away the tasty birds.

Indigo collartags.......BRILLIANT!!!!!

I think I'm right in saying Mrs Admin posted the website for these dog tags a while ago. We have just got one for Meg. They are indestructable and a great invention. We had lost so many it was getting ridiculous but as far as I can see the only way your dog could lose these would be to lose the enti...

Re: The cockerel is toast...!

Gosh, do be careful! My friend's welsh collie swallowed a squeaky santa toy attached to a rope shortly after christmas resulting in barium meal, 8 X-rays (at one point Santa was closer to a-hole than previous) and an enema. The bill? Close to a thousand pounds. Luckily insured. A great dinner-party ...

I would like to echo that last comment. I can't see any comments that could be construed as nasty and to be honest there have been a few on this forum in the past.hence my posting of 'crikey'. I hope it all works out well for you.
