Re: Fussy eater not putting on weight

Meg was a fussy eater at that age too, she started on Hill's but we quickly changed over to Burns complete and mix in a quarter carton of Nature Harvest twice a day. Ever since she has always wolfed it down. We use Goodson's on Magdalen Road in Norwich to buy petfood as it's an independant shop. Mr ...

Re: Norwich Meet ?????

Would love to in a few weeks. We have had awful time with Meg's health over the summer. She got what we thought was kennel-cough in spite of vaccination. She ended up having a general anaesthetic where she was found to have pneumonia bought on by allergic bronchitus and she is still having tests for...

I speak from experience. If you are unhappy with the diagnosis from your vet ask for a second opinion. It saved our girl! Lindsey

Meg, always trust your intuition.....

I had posted recently on here about Meg having kennel cough. She was not responding to any treatment. She was given a general anaestetic this morning and found to have Pneumonia and probable lungworm. I thought I was becoming neurotic about her health. I knew she wasn't right. We are now giving her ...

Re: Snuggles

Hi., this time last year Meg was 10 weeks and she too was very mouthy. My worst moment was went she jumped up and drew blood from my elderly mother's hand. I went through all the panic, anxiety stages you describe. A year on it is so different. The mouthing stopped at about 6 months. Meg is calmer, ...

Re: Meg has kennel cough

Thank you for the suggestions and support. Meg seemed a bit brighter this morning and is coughing up phlegm (nice) which seems to show it is breaking up. She continues to eat normally and i am giving regular spoons of yoghurt. I rang the kennels yesterday and let them know and they were grateful for...

Re: Meg has kennel cough

Thank you, I didnt realise that dogs could take Benylin. Will get some and try as the cough does sound dry and raspy. Meg is fine in herself, eating and toileting normally, but is far more listless than normal. I hate the thought of her being ill. We have also given her probiotic yoghurt to ease her...

Meg has kennel cough

Just after she had recovered from her hurt knees Meg started coughing like something was stuck in her throat. I took her to the vet Monday and the vet thought she probably had a sore throat and prescribed some antibiotics in case she got a secondary infection. The cough got worse over the next few d...

Re: Leaving a Labradoodle during the day

I am also a teacher but part-time. I have always felt dreadful leaving Meg for any more than 3 hours at a time. That's me though. When I work we pay someone to come in at least part of the day to keep her company and pay £6 an hour. It may sound like a lot but it stops me feeling guilty. I usually o...
