Re: Devastation & Despair Please help with any suggestions

The green brigade can tgell me off but I have always insisted on leaving the TV and radio on for Buster when we are out, find he is less likely to become overstimulated by outside noises in our absence.

Re: Devastation & Despair Please help with any suggestions

Luckily Buster has never been destructive, but we refused to crate him as we just think it is unfair. I have also heard of dogs in London eating through their crates, one of which had to go to the vets for urgent treatment. Buster is left for the same amount of time as Alfie 3 times a week for up to...

Re: Info on new food to try????

We managed to wean Buster (2 now!) from Bakers Adult to Simpsons Premium via Pedigree Complete & Better By Nature. He's been doing fantastically since changing over, he became much more trainable and normal engergy levels! By the time Buster was rehomed with us and weaning him off Bakers, he was too...

Doodle Friendly - Renault 1.4 Kangoo

Sorry haven't visited for while, lots of things to sort one of which was a new car. Some of my FB friends might have seen my post about some yobs who decided to go on a rampage with a :stick:crowbar through the passenger side of a fast moving car and smash in excess of 100 car windows. Sadly, the po...

Re: Commands

How did it all go? I haven't been around for while partly home and stuff. Just to clarify last post which was Buster already knew quiet & settle before progressing to speak. He has only just mastered it as we have realised when given the command he gives a very small bark and can jump. That has now ...

Re: Surrey Strollers - 6 Feb 2011 - Banstead Woods - PHOTOS

I don't think we can make Coulsdon though as don't know the area that well and after venturing out last time to try out some woods in Redhill we'd like to stay local to Banstead/Woodmansterne & Chipstead as some crackpot driving a car decided he was having a bad day and going to threaten other driv...

Sorry have been absent lately, lts of stuff workwise and at home but I still need to walk the doodle :D When are you meeting next in Banstead? I am coming down more often at the moment to visit my sister as she has her hands full with 2 young ones under 4, usually monthly. She lives between Woodmans...

Re: A Festive Question - Tree or No Tree.

How are you all getting along? We have gambled this year after much debate about the pros and cons of real vs plastic xmas trees, the plastic has won  We managed to assemble it but Buster is oblivious to the 7ft green pine like tree in the corner, not even a sniff. Obviously this will change ...

Re: Bruno's definitely gonna be a Labradonkey!!

Buster is 2 on the 21st of this month he is either 28" or 29" to the shoulder (depending on whether your using a builders tape measure or a sewing tape) and he's about 47 kilos at the last count. I'm about 9 stone 7, and 5ft 1" so the fireman's lift is definately out. What I have found works wonders...

Re: help with greeting other dogs

Buster used to get very excited with people and other dogs. Best advice, practice sit & stay command - firm but fair tone, maintain eye contact, DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR UNTIL HE IS SEATED as he is probably dying to see who is there. If he gets up while you have asked him to sit and stay, stop opening t...

Re: On now - It's me or the dog...

I do enjoy watching this programme, but jokes aside in my area there are 2 owners of what I view as dangerous dogs and neither are a banned breed - rottweiler & sheepdog. The sheepdog guards to extremes his female owner and her attitude is 'my dog doesn't like yours' and believes this excuses her do...

Re: Is it worth putting up the Christmas Tree

Survival guide: Rule 1: You'd be very surprised, Buster was oblivious to the christmas tree last year apart from his attachment to tinsel... all things sparkly Rule 2: Stick to a real christmas tree -spruce or fir if you have a puppy as at least then if they chew it was come through the other end :l...

Or another option is to arrange a doodle meet you neck of the woods and issue an SOS on the forum and hope some gentle doodles will put him in his place as he will be outside his comfort zone. The nearest we get to your neck of the woods is Banstead, Surrey once in a blue moon possibly before Christ...

Re: Jackson and our update....

Gosh, I really, really feel for you. How are you going to live your life like this? Your children are at risk. I would seriously think about taking him back to the breeder. I absolutely 100% can not do this to a 20 week old puppy who in some way we have failed. Whilst I really appreciate your conce...
