Re: So sad

So sad for you, they leave a huge hole in our hearts. I still miss my little Mitzi, she was 23 when we finally had to make that awful decision (5 years ago). I had her son too and he went at 19 but as he was more of an outside cat, it was horrible but not so bad as Mitzi, she was very special. You g...

Re: Essex/London Meet - Thorndon - 27 october

I like the north side, more woody if you know what I mean, with a nice refreshments place. There is The Gruffalo Trail there but we were there the other Sunday and there weren't too many little 'uns

Re: I thought I'd never get another dog!

What a beautiful girl she was - you must have some lovely memories of her. I know people that won't get another dog because they were heartbroken at the loss of a beloved pet, but they miss out on so many years of joy.

Re: Which brush? and am I grooming him right?

Looks very like Rosie's hair from your picture, she has got a fairly thin coat compared to some. I use a large curved pin head brush first all over then a slicker, then a metal comb which has two sides a wide tooth and finer tooth. Her fur is quite thin on her belly so don't use the slicker there as...

Re: Salmon oil & vit e

Can you prick the capsule with a pin and squeeze the liquid onto her food? I would also lob the capsule in just in case she accidentally eats it   well, cutting it in half and putting it all in she still picks out the halves! Hopefully the oil is getting through though! Don't know how su...

Re: How to find a good local labradoodle (Eastern England)

Rosie came from Coniston Doodles, she was local to me at the time but has since moved to Leics or Lincs, can't remember which, but if you google they should come up. Her name is Jane and she has a very good reputation in the doodle world. Rosie is standard but she was going to concentrate on smaller...

Re: Another swim!

Great pics!!! You're so lucky living by the seaside :D We were on holiday, but we do live near the Thames estuary and go to Leigh on Sea (about 15 mins drive away) and we are an hour from Frinton which is a great favourite :) I'd love to live right near the beach, give me sand over mud any da...

Guess what - she picks the capsules out! Even when cut in half little moo! Been googling for liquid vit e but they seem to have soya in too. Anyone feed a liquid vitamin e and where do you get it from? Nothing is easy  !

Another thought, maybe Belle would settle better if the crate were in the same room as Lily, she will know there is company there. Just a thought :)

Re: Introducing belle

We had a 13 year old terrier when we got Rosie (she's 4 now, the old boy passed away last year). He didn't much like her pestering him and told her so, she quickly learnt when to leave him alone  . He had the run of the house at night and usually chose to sleep in the kitchen on his bed, Rosie ...
