Re: how do you manage with your standard doodles

 Sorry, but that sounds very familiar!!. It's probably easier with a big dog as most people see us coming and avoid us with a "BIG dog = BITE" attitude. Its really not what my Bru's about, so that annoys me. Just this morning he had a Jack Russell nipping and growling at his ears as Bruno was t...

Re: Ear infection

Bruno has horrible ears, so I put a squirt of Canaural in his ears once a week. This seems to do the trick, he only got an ear infection last week as he picked up a bug and it shot his temperature up thus causing the bugs to fester and grow. Think you can get it off the net, but I just buy it from t...

Re: F1 doodles - share your growing up pics

To be honest, I would have liked Bruno to of been a bit shaggier. He seems to be to dogs stuck together. Nice shaggy head and shoulders, and smooth back and sides  This is the day we got him home...... http://i965.photobucket.com/albums/ae138/claireashdjian/Image0105.jpg This is him just a fe...

Re: Running free!

At my training class the instructor insisted we must not let our pups off lead until they have fully learned recall in a few weeks - oops  Sorry to be a bit thick, but how does your trainer think dogs can learn recall if they are not allowed off their lead? Bruno has excellent recall in the ho...

Re: Competition for the biggest doodle!

Bruno is fully grown, has lost some weight due to surplus Testosterone issues, so SHOULD be gaining another 3-5kg in the next 3-6 months, according to the vet.

He currently weighs 34kg (underweight for his build)
He stands at 29" to the shoulders.

Re: Hello

Loved this poem since I read it a while back. I thought I'd share it with you. Sorry if it makes you cry, but it may also bring you a little comfort. Before humans die, they write their last will and Testament, give their home and all the have to those they leave behind. If, with my paws, I could do...

Re: Anyone in Cambs want to double date?

Hi, do you know the name of the drug that was used for Bruno's chemical castration because I want to talk about this with our vet. Thank you in anticipation. :? Ah, no, I'm due to ring the vet today about Bruno's vet visit yesterday. (they asked for an update in the morning). I'll ask what the drug...

The best cure I've found for a poorly dog.....

..... Take him to the vets. The previously lethargic doodle who limped around the house feeling sorry for himself instantly jumps about like Zebedee on acid. Where he turned his nose up to his dinner, brocolli, carrots and even apple, now does all the tricks needed for a doggie biscuit. And previous...

I was thinking it was the rather revolting looking poo he found at the park and wolfed down the other night.

Poorly boy

Bruno didn't eat his dinner last night, and was suspiciously calm on our walk. This morning, the same, and he's moping around the house. So I have a vet appointment for 6pm tonight to check him out. The true illness test will be if we walk into the vet room and he doesn't bounce off the walls, then ...
