Re: The Helicopter Wag

Immi does the helicopter wag, so fiercely that her entire body shifts about. Her tail presents a serious health and safety concern, she sends items flying off the coffee table, mugs and glasses etc it's also destroyed lego and jigsaws, and has caused actual bodily harm. Her tail is more akin to a wh...

Re: A disgusting new treat...

Immi loves a good ear to chew on, and yeah they stink. But I found cow hoof to be worse, stinks of a mixture between carrion and cow sh*t. I think Immi is exhausting her worm supply now thankfully, but the lawn is looking a bit like a herd of stampeding cattle has charged across it!

Got to lol at Minnie! I'm afraid that duck would have been dinner if Immi had been hunting it! She likes her free range snacks...

Re: What colour is your doodles skin?

Immi's skin is a white'ish pink, although she has the odd patch of dark skin. She has a few freckles on her belly too.

A disgusting new treat...

Immi has discovered something quite wonderful (to her warped doodle mind) that has come with the thaw of the ice and snow. Earthworms that froze to death close to the surface of the lawn. It seems quite the delicacy! Our garden is now littered with little holes where Immi has found the scent ...

Re: Bird seed?

Immi's another one for vacuuming up bird seed, and has a certain penchant for fat balls. She's only ever had issues if the seed contains wheat, which results in rather messy poo.

Re: Oscar and the inner dog.

Immi loves eye drops, she gets all excited if she sees a drop bottle, a very strange dog! I think it has something to do with the fresh chicken or liver that she gets as a reward!

Season over?

Immi looks like she has reached the end of her heat cycle. There has been no discharge for several days, and the vulva is no linger engorged, the colour has returned to normal and she is definitely no longer in standing heat. I'm probably just being overcautious, so you think I'm aright to give her ...

Re: Does any other Doodle hide their bones on the sofa?

All of Immi's favourites end up underneath the sofa where the cats can't reach them. Unfortunately neither can Immi! She has to whine at us and paw desperately under the sofa to get us to move the sofa out or use a broom to dig whatever item she stashed out!

Of Labradoodles, Snow Giants and Fallen Trees

Hi all, been a few weeks since I last posted. Hope everyone is well. I thought I'd update on Immi, and her bizarre seasons and what she's been up to lately. She's over two weeks into her 'proper' season, after failing to ovulate during her first season. She's got major cabin fever, but she's going t...

Re: Split Season?

It seems that Immi is indeed having a second season. Vet thinks the cycle didn't complete the first time (didn't ovulate) so her body has decided to go through it again, poor Immi mustn't know whether she is coming or going with all the hormones! We've just to keep a close eye on her and take her in...

Re: Split Season?

Thanks for that, it makes sense given the time elapsed since Immi's season. Hopefully that's all it is. I'll update once she's seen our vet tomorrow.

Split Season?

We're on our hols at Center Parcs and Immi is with Carolyn and Sarah at scruffy tails for the week. I got a text this morning to say that Immi has started spotting blood, but that she seems fine and relaxed in all other aspects. She only came out of her first season about three weeks ago. It doesn't...

Re: Dooley's had another 'turn'

It is believed that feeding a raw diet helps control epilepsy for a number of reasons. The quality of protein, essential and non-essential amino acids, enzymes and various other vitamins and minerals is at its highest in properly balanced raw diets. The process of creating a dry or prepared meat inv...
