Hi

I think that means he is a 1st gen back cross. As his Mum was a labradoodle but then she mated with a poodle (the backcross).

I hope I'm right as if not I will tear my hair out on this subject!!

Thank you both. He really is a magnificant dog, strong, kind and quick to learn, with a hell of a coat on him.

If anyone is interested to see what an F2B pup looks like (Mother St poodle, Father 2nd Gen Labradoodle) then please take a look at Kona on the Gallery - she is Chocolate and I bred her - born Dec 20th last year. I think she is beautiful ! (although I am biased I guess !) :D

I am being stupid! How do you find a particular dog in the gallery. When I look, all the pictures come up randomly.

Please take pity on me and offer advice.

Kay

Thanks guys ! Kona is named after a rich dark coffee that her owners enjoyed whilst on a holiday in Hawaii apparently !... I doubt very much she will be bred from, which is a shame but never mind ... she is a wonderful pet and that is the main thing. :D

As for checking out the pics on the gallery - I too am unsure how you would find a specific one but as Fiona pointed out, kona is a recent addition and so easy to find.
