We've started a few threads regarding getting our new puppy but thought we'd have one dedicated solely to her and her progression.

We picked her up yesterday from a breeder not very far from us, probably about a 20 minute walk. As such we have been able to visit her every week and watch Gracie grow. She was pretty much the biggest of the 11 strong litter and certainly was not shy!

She has settled in very well although our Setter is adjusting to her being here (see other thread). She slept soundly all night in her crate which is downstairs in the living room waking up at about 6.45am which was fine.

Here she is from 2 weeks to now at 7.5 weeks:

She's adorable, and lovely that she was bred so close at hand.

She is incredibly cute! Like you we couldnt stay away and went to see Lola every two weeks after choosing her when she was 2wks old. Its lovely watching them develop into little bundles of fluff (and mischief!) What a wonderful Christmas you are going to have. Enjoy! xx

What a cutie! Make the most of the puppy time - they grow up so fast. Still gorgeous, but not that soft fluffy bundle any more.

A week on and she's settling in reasonably well. Bit yappy but that seems to be under control via training. She will sit on command and give her paw too. Not bad for an 8 week old pup. Next is lay down, roll over, play dead, count to 1,2,3,4 etc, dance and flip  She should ready for 2012's Britains Got Talent!

This morning she sat in the kitchen giving her paw to thin air, slightly confused as to what she was doing my wife asked what she wanted and she went to her empty food bowl....

She loved it, think she will definitely be an outdoor dog! Tuckered how out for the rest of the day though!
