she is so clever
A long time ago - I decided to teach Lulu to find my keys. She was brilliant at it but.....................she would keep getting them and putting them somewhere else anyway!
Today I have hurt my knee and needed to teach her some brain games so I though I would try find the keys again. She did it straight of but..... she kept putting the keys were my walking coats were. It took a long time for the penny to drop!!!

That is one bright little doodle girlie!!!
(Would she come to ours and find my house keys, please? I've no idea where they went!
)

Hope your poorly knee heals quickly, Dee.

Lulu is indeed a very, very clever girl - not just for finding the keys but for giving Mum such a brilliant hint!

Re: she is so clever
My little Ursa has just come back from the vets after being spayed, so I've got several days when she'll be feeling fine but not allowed to do any racing around. I have a routine for my keys and rarely lose them, but we'll need something to do to tire her out while she's not allowed doodle dashes and cat torturing and teaching naughty water bottles a lesson*. So suggestions for training gratefully received...! We already know "in your bed" "leave it" "leavethecat" (it's different) and all the postural ones. So anything else to keep a bored dog interested?
*The empty plastic water bottle had the cheek to be lying on the grass in the park last night. It needed a very thorough telling off, with a lot of growling, head-shaking and running around.

We played a lot of hide and seek with toys, treats, human sisters....gave Poppy magazines to rip up [take the staples out] to take out her frustration, endless hours of soothing 'rubby tummy', a bit tricky around the stitches, gentle walks in the front garden to look at the cows over the road. Good luck!

I call the neighbour at no 9 much worse than that...poppygreen wrote: gentle walks in the front garden to look at the cows over the road. Good luck!
She's out for the count at the moment. Poor little thing: I do feel very mean even though I know it's for the best.

Do hope you will be ok to join us on Sunday, Dee? Rest, ice, compress and elevate! Failing that do what I did... Come on crutches and we will walk Lulu!! Xx
