Some of you were interested...
Some of you were interested last year in my A-Z blog - each April I take up a challenge to blog every day about a different animal, and write a poem a day. I've got to 'C' so far!
My blog also contains info about Lola and her assistant dog duties - some new posts and pictures will be going up about her as well! Her links are down the side of the blog under her photo.

Hope some of you might take a look!

Have just spent an enjoyable half hour looking at your blog and reading about the beautiful and clever Lola. I love your chimpanzee poem and am looking forward to spending some more time reading the others

Aw, thanks!
Lola is rather gorgeous, even if I say so myself. Which I do. Quite often.

Direct link to 'Lola's family'...

The little video on there was described as 'the most joyous thing I've seen' by a friend, who clearly has not seen a doodle dashing and welcoming a family member before!

Today is the day I post the miracle of Lola and the zoo... still don't know how she did this, and it amazes me to this day! Up at the top of my page as Lola and the zoo 1 - another story of another zoo tomorrow!

I haven't posted on here for a while but do check in regularly. I saw your post Liz and clicked the link and have been hooked every day since, checking out your poems! I think they're brilliant. My 3 year old niece LOVES animals, my sister is studying environmental and earth sciences at uni and wants to do conservation work when she graduates. My niece definitely has her love of animals and books and my love of poetry, I've been reading her your poems, she's very into rhyming words at the moment and stories with repetition. Our favourite is 'The Armadillo' she thinks its funny!
I'm definitely going to buy her your 'Animal Magic' book, I think she will love it.
Thanks for keeping us entertained with your words

Oooh, thank you! That makes me very happy. I've just been to a party where an (adult) friend said she read my blog poems and the elephant poem made her cry, so I guess it's all good!
Three is very young for the poems though - they have a age range of 9 to adult!
She must be a bright spark!
