Thank you all for your kind words.

I've not long heard from the vets and he's made it out of surgery. Luckily his stomach wasn't twisted it was just the bloat they were dealing with. The next 24-48 hours are critical as any toxins released can affect his heart but she does expect him to make a full recovery eventually.

I've got to transfer him from the emergency vets to my vets at 7.30 in the morning, not looking forward to that.

I will keep you posted and when the dust settles I will let you know Teds symptoms for future reference.

So glad the first stage has been successfully negotiated - when things like that happen it really brings home what important members of the family these gorgeous dogs are.

Fingers crossed that the next stage is equally successful and you can put it all behind you and have a wonderful summer with your boy.

I was out tonight so only just picked up this thread. I am soooooo happy Ted made it through surgery. Phoebe and I send gentle licks and warm thoughts to your boy, and to you.

So glad that you are over the first hurdle. You may not pray, I do, so I hope you will forgive me as that's what I am doing as well as sending healing thoughts. x
