Hi, I am going with a friend to look at a 3 month old doodle today, last of the litter. It's a long time since we brought Poppy home and a refresher of the questions we should ask is needed.
Any thoughts welcome,
J

Exciting!

I would start with the parents health tests - hips elbows and eyes are the minimum, and although the pup is a little older than usual, you should still be able to see at least the mother if not both parents.

Enquire about the age of the mother and how many litters she has had (the code of practice on here recommends no litter before 2 years, and none after 7 with a maximum of 4). I would want a puppy to be raised in the house and not in kennels or a barn, and at 12 weeks it will presumably have been vet checked and wormed and vaccinated, plus microchipped.

I am sure there are more questions.
