Hi

I need any suggestions getting my 5mth old Sydney to come back into the house from the garden after his evening constitutional! Last night I tried every concievable bride to try & get him back in. I even locked the door & switched the lights out but that soon became a game. I resorted to chasing him around the garden & eventually fell over. I limped off into the house & he eventually followed! He is going to dog obedience lessons but we have not covered retrieval yet!

Many thanks

Many thanks for those useful tips! I have tethered a long lead outside & intend to follow your advise tonight. He is just a playful little devil!

I dont know what the connection is, but I just have to say to otto, COME AND SEE in an excited voice and he comes running, we used to say this to our other little dogs and they did the same, with a treat at the end of it.

It'll be no consolation but Dougal was /impossible/ up to the age of about 18 months - now he is the most laid back dog you could ever meet.

HI,seems we have the same problem, I might as well talk to the garden fence as try to get Charlie in the house! He will run around in circles and pinch the washing just waiting for us to chase him.Charlie is also 5 months and I am hoping he will grow out of It .I have to go into the garden then run in the house and he usually follows, then someone shuts the door quickly behind him so he cannot run back out. THE THINGS WE DO

:D

Hi

I have to confess too - enticing Rosie with a treat whilst running towards the house calling her in a ridiculous giddy voice!

My neighbours now know for sure that I am truly bonkers!

Best Wishes

Susan & Rosie

Hi all,

I have the opposite problem.
Candy comes in when we call her but if she's just woke up or if it's dark or raining she won't go out

I end up running round the garden throwing toys and trying to sound exciting. Candy just sits and watches me. I think she wonders what sort of family she's ended up with

Go to the front and ring the door bell, this works everytime to get Otto in the house as he expects guests
