Hi.

I'm sure that this has been discussed before however...

My wife and I have seen lots of pictures of the labradoodle and after reading up on the bread, they seem perfect for our family.

Although, being the fussy one that she is, her heart is set on a cream / white one with almost a poodle type of coat.

How can I tell which generation these are or indeed which breeders have which generation of dog?

Thanks
Teagon

Most breeders should be able to give you some kind of pedigree info for at least 3 generations either on the poodle, lab or doodle sides, some may be able to go back much further than this. It is important to ask how an individual breeder works out their generations as there has been some conflicting information about this. Unfortunatley you won't be able to check up labradoodle pedigree info with the kennel club though, but you can for kc registered poodles and labradors (costs about £6 per query I believe).

Lou

Thanks for this.

Looking at the different pictures that I've found, Labradoodles come in al different coat lengths.

How can I find out which coat length is which generation or doesn't it work like that.
