Hi, me again!

Still having trouble with Scooby jumping up and play biting the children. If they stand still he just carries on and if I say no he seems to get more excited.

have any of you guys tried or would recommend using a training line?

Julie

Hello!

Stout had one permanently attached (other than bed time) until he was about 10 months   .

We just used a 'house lead' (from pets at home I think). It was very useful to be able to grab hold of him as needed

we thought a training line would be a great idea, bought 2 before Wil came home....... they lasted hmmmmm about 4 minutes each as he chewed through them

I'm sure you'll have better luck :)

We're using a training line with Casper as he is a biter especially with my nephew and my sister's shih tzu
We were advised by the lady who will be doing our puppy classes who is a behaviour advisor as well as a trainer to make a loud noise (we use 'no' or 'arrr') and to take him away from the situation (we take him up the hallway) and since being on the line his biting has improved MASSIVELY and we're only having to remind him occasionally now rather than 24/7

Good luck....feel free to PM me if you need any advice

I am a fan of training line, myself and a friend of mine use them all the time when I am walking it is all.img can do as I need my crutches. When my friend has a rescue in or boarders we use them so that all the dogs can be introduced in a nice nice manner. Plus as we don't talk or hold the lead there is no tension for then to pick up on if its a nervous dog.
