Help please!
Whisky is just over 13 weeks old!! I'm thinking she is a crocodile in disguise!!! She is fine in the day but just seems to have a couple of mad hours in the evening, she constantly nips and bites, ive tried the loud OW! Also tried walking out of the room, it works for a very short time but then she just goes for it again, constantly. Is this related to her being tired? When she does finally stop she seems to flake out! I have to admit it is driving me mad, I am constantly trying to amuse her with toys etc but she just seems to persist.
Any advice gratefully received, like when will she grow out of this!!
Sam :-)

I think it is very common at this age! I thought I had a really aggressive puppy only to find she grew into the gentlest unaggressive dog after her adult teeth came in! It won't be long! Just keep yelping and disengaging with her while she is doing it!!

Sandy was the same, she'd have a crazy hour every night and nothing we did seemed to satisfy her. So I resorted to taking her out for a walk when the crazies started. This worked most of the time, but occasionally the crazies would return the minute we got back in the house

She is 5 months now and the crazies seem to visit less often. When they do make an appearance she gets a frozen raw chicken wing which tends to pacify her.

You are not alone, it is a phase most pups go through and they do grow out of it. It is possible its related to being tired, or maybe they are getting rid of all their energy in prep for a long quiet night. Whatever the reason, I agree it can drive a woman mad! Hang on in there and keep trying different techniques, if you are lucky one of them will work :D
