Home boarding recommendations

Post by susiet » 09 May 2015, 15:56

Has any one got any recommendations for dog boarding in the East Surrey/Sussex area please? A friend has asked and the lady we use has now got her full quota of clients so I can't pass on her details to her. She's looking for someone who is happy to keep her two doodles in a home environment, not kennels.

Hoping someone may be able to help!
Thank you

Hi Susie, I haven't been on the forum for a while and only just saw your post.
We live in East Sussex and have used boarding for a while, through an agency called Black Dog Home Boarding Sussex. We are using 3 different boarders, depending on how busy they are, one is in West Sussex and the other two in East sussex. http://blackdoghomeboarding-sussex.co.uk/index.html

Very happy with all three of them!!! The lady who runs the agency, Jane, is always helpful and has even helped out at very short notice. I don't know if she has boarders in Surrey, just give her a call (works quicker than e-mail).

The boarders have different approaches. With one there may be several dogs in the home at any one time - which I wasn't too keen initially, but my two Doods love it! Another one only takes the dogs of one client, so you can tell Jane what it is that you are looking for.

Apologies for delay in replying, hope it's not yet too late for your friend.

Best wishes, Val, Finn and Izzy

Never a dull day with a Doodle, eh? And with two one just doesn't have time to think! :)

Tell your friend to get in touch if she has any questions - regards, val

Maisy goes to a doggy day care in Selsdon, if that's any good location-wise but im guessing its a bit out of the way? They do doggy boarding too £22 a night but if its for a long time they may do a discount. They send you photos etc Maisy is always pulling me to their door. Let me know.
