He may end up having a big hairy older brother who is just about to turn two, so if all goes well he will be one very lucky, happy boy. I cannot wait to hear how his life turns around, and to see the photos. These rescuers who make such a special effort to save these dogs are amazing!!! What an incredibly satisfying and selfless thing to do.

Dudley update, sadly the home check failed as Christine feels two male dogs close in age would not work.
I am so disappointed for the lady involved. If the others who are interested could contact Tipp Off Animal Rescue please, thanks all.

That's a real shame, did they try them out together? All my boys are a similar age, Jake been the oldest at approx 3 to baby Ted at 1, with Henry and Milo inbetween. It's Lottie who I have watch, hoping she'll calm down when she's been spayed. It may be worth a go

Omg that just made me cry, just read the first post and it made me so sad, doodle looks like Maisy and she's so young that's awful that they destroy her after 5 days, that's disgusting that they're allowed to do that?! do they not have the RSPCA or anything?
I adopted Maisy at 15 weeks and as much hard work as she was as a puppy she has brought so much joy to our lives and has such a personality! It's just so sad to hear this doodle was given up just because it pulls too heavily. :S so sad. Fingers crossed doodle is saved! (Sorry i misread if its called Dudley or Angel )

Thanks Maisy, we have the ispca here and they are worst than the pound, they distroy more dogs than the pounds do.

That is so sad that many of these dogs are only given 5 days, but looking on Gumtree many of the dogs on there are based in Ireland. It breaks my heart

It is a dire situation with the pounds in Eire :( equally I think in the UK the dogs technically have 7 days before they are allowed to be destroyed...
It really winds me up the ISPCA can deem it acceptable to run these dreadful pounds along side the other work they supposedly do:( but i digress

Thanks Tory for highlighting the situation

What a pity the first homecheck did not work out for doodle Dudley. Must be tough for the lady involved but how lovely of her to offer a possible home.
Hopefully he will be in a new home really soon.

The lady who wanted Dudley has bought a 15 week old female pup. Golden colour one.
