Hello I have not posted very often on here but I have a mini black doodle called Somer who is now 2 1/2 years old. I realise this is not a doodle but I am presently fostering an adorable silver toy poodle on behalf of Poodles In Need, which is a poodle rescue run by Hanna Painter. Its a really sad story. His elderly devoted owner died on Christmas day and little Pepi has now been with us just over a week. He is 11 years old but I dont think he knows it. He bright, bouncy and beautiful. Hes been castrated and had some dental work and the vet has given him a good bill of health. He has cateracts forming which dont seem to trouble his vision noticebly. He is a lap dog who just want love and a warm knee although he keeps up well with Somer on her walks. He is cat friendly infact my husband thinks he has a bit of cat in him as he loves to climb and sit on the highest spot in the room. If you know of anyone who may be interested please contact Poodles In Need they have a picture on the web sight of him too. Its his masters funeral tomorrow 15th Jan and it would be lovely if we could sort him a retirement home very soon. Thanks for your help :)

OMG, just went and looked and he is GORGEOUS!

If I was allowed another (Lola is my assistance dog, so I'm not) I'd have him like a shot!

Fingers crossed for him! I just got sidetracked by Finnie - poor lad! What a state he was in, and how gorgeous does he look now!

Keep us updated if the possible home doesn't work out. One of my neighbours had two toy poodles until they went to rainbow bridge a couple of years ago. She is getting a little frail herself and so wouldn't get a puppy again although I think that the dogs kept her young. She may not have considered an older dog but I will happily go and have a chat to her if this forever home falls through.

I've passed the details on to my in-laws. They are seasoned poodle owners but don't currently have a dog and have been looking. As they are in their 60s and 70s, he would be perfect for them! Xx

The lady that I was thinking about is staying with her daughter at the moment, she lost her husband before Christmas and I'm not sure when she is coming home.
