Hi, following years of being in a doggy void caused by renting and not being certain whether are next landlord would allow animals or not, we now have our own own and first on the list is the labradoodle that we have been wanting for so long.

Having read through the forum pages on rehoming we would like to see if there is anyone within the Titchfield Common area of Hampshire that would be able to provide a home visit on our house, in order that we can be in a trusted position for any future doodles that become available for rehoming.

If anyone is in a position to do this or has any information on how we go about things, please get in touch.

Many thanks

Hi there - most rescues will have their own homecheckers who do the visits on their behalf. If you are looking to rehome a doodle privately, then I think the owners usually prefer to meet you themselves.

Good lucck - I hope you find the perfect doodle for you :D

Hello Thoroughgoods,
Welcome to the forum, and congratulations on your first 'own' home! If you are looking to re-home a Doodle, have you contacted the Doodle Trust? They have doods in home fosters which don't always show on their re-homing page. The Trust will do their own checks and try to match you to a dood needing a new family, if your situation is suitable.
Thank you for considering giving a rescue dog a loving home. Good Luck with your search, and hope to hear about your new addition on the forum soon -
Anne & Ianto x

Many thanks for all of the advise. What a helpful bunch you are. We do keep track of the doodle trust website and facebook pages, but were not aware of the foster situation mentioned. We will be on the phone asap to them. Thanks again.

Rich & Claire,
It's run by volunteers, so you may need to be patient! :D

From what I have seen, the DT have a real shortage of foster carers and from reading other posts on here, when a dog is ready to go to their new home they appear to have lots of people on their lists. If you could bring yourself to foster, that seems like the way to go.
