Having braved the annual vet visit with Bella and the 4 cats, I arrived home shamed faced, as all the cats are a bit porky! Bella, however, is 'perfect' :D

Can anyone recommend a dried cat food, that you can buy in big bags, that will stop the cats getting any larger? All the slimming cat food i hsve looked at costs an arm and a leg, and I would need to re-mortgage the house!

The biggest problem for my cats is that we allow the cats to graze feed, this means that they all eat whatever they want regardless of the calorie content of the food.

The end result is that all the cats are overweight but the dogs are perfect - sound familiar Jackie? When Sam moved out she took Archie her favourite boy with her - he was particularly plump. As she can now control his food intake, he is slowly losing weight. I suspect that control is more important than what food you actually use.

Sue, that sounds exactly like my house! I'm sure you're right!

My cat is 17 and slim ,but I do find they loose weight when older ,the vet told me to give her white fish and chicken for her kidneys .My cat drives me mad so fussy with cat foods ,she tends to eat little and often and once tin as been opened she wont eat it again ,I also give sardines and tuna, she cost me more money then feeding the dog.
