We bought Poppy one of these to wear after her recent spay instead of a collar and we found it to be absolutely fantastic. She couldn't get to her stitches at all and has recovered really well. Her shirt if anything was a little big but that meant that she could still clean her 'bits' which made her happy!
The shirt fastens with both poppers and Velcro around the tail making it super secure. It does need taking off for the dog to go to the toilet. Poppy is still crated at night and when we go out and we could leave her with no fear of her reaching her stitches and doing any damage.
She seemed very comfortable in it and I would recommend it to anyone whose dog is due to be spayed. Our vets were so impressed with it they are going to look into stocking it.

Our vets give you the choice of a collar or a shirt and Beamish had one of these - it was really good, although I did have to rub some citronella on it to stop him licking it and making it wet, but it has a pocket in it, so once I put a puppy pad in there he could lick away without the wet short affecting his wound

I would be interested. Florence will be having her op in a couple of months and I would guess her to be a medium sort of size by then. I'm planning on going to Doodlefest and will be camping.
