RIP Huber

Post by clanshankly » 22 Jul 2011, 21:08

I haven't posted much on here, but have found it a very useful site for tips and hints on how to raise my doodle - especially when he was a newbie.

Unfortunately, last month, my precious boy Huber was run over and died outside our house. He was such a fantastic dog, I miss him so much. No matter than he was a mud magnet, a counter surfer, a fridge raider, he ate poo, and he could find dead animals from yards away and would refuse to drop them. More importantly, he was the friendliest, cuddliest most affectionate dog ever. That was his undoing. He got out from our back yard, as a visitor had left the gate open, and he saw a familiar face over the the road and went to greet them in his usual exciteable style. He was 2 years old to the day.

Please, check your doors, and give your doods an extra cuddle tonight.

I am so so sorry to hear this :( :( . Poor Huber, you and your family must be absolutely devastated! Losing a pet is always hard, but to lose one as young as Huber, and so suddenly must be unbearable. You have all my sympathies.

Sending you some hugs J. My heart sank to my toes reading your post.
So sorry ,such a difficult thing to come to terms with. Hold close the laughter and fun you had whilst he was with you.
(there's still a few photos on this site of your dear Huber, for when you are feeling strong)

Take care

Oh no, you must be devastated, your poor baby. I'm sure many of us have had times when we were heartily grateful there were no cars coming, please don't blame yourself because it is impossible to keep these dogs 100% under lock and key. I'll hug our boys in his memory.
