RIP Harry

Lost our Welsh Terrier Harry last week, some of you may remember him from when I posted a lot when we first got Rosie. Harry was nearly 16 and had been senile for some time, and panted A LOT - all the time, in fact, and had got very wobbly on his feet. His back legs finally let him down. Really miss the little devil, he was a real character and even though he had bitten us all over the years, we did love him!

Here he is with Rosie when she was a pup.....

It's never easy to let them go, but it sounds like Harry had a great life with a loving family. Warm thoughts coming your way from Phoebe and me.

So sad to say goodbye, nothing quite fills the hole in your hearts. Run free Harry.

He was a VERY cheeky chappie! Typical terrier, life was on his terms - hence the biting! He nearly went back several times when he was young! But you couldn't help but love him, everyone knew him over the park. As he got older he would walk round separate from me and wait for me at the car! for years he never left the park, then when he started to become senile he would just walk and walk and didn't seem to know where he was going, so had to keep him on the lead. In the last few months he could only walk a few yards, so had to walk him separately but he still liked to mooch around.

I'm still crying now! Luckily Rosie doesn't seem to have missed him, probably because they didn't play together. I keep telling myself he's with my dear old Mum. Goodness, having pets is hard, isn't it?

So sorry to hear over Harry, it is so hard when they pass. We lost our lovely dog Oliver this year. Time moves on but they remain in your hearts forever....

I am crying now as I am typing this..... we go to Devon tomorrow (Ollies favourite place) he loved his time there......he will be missed.

At the same time I feel joy as Rufus will go on his first Devon adventure and I hope he loves his time there as much as Ollie.

Thinking about you and your family at this sad time......

Think of your wonderful memories and the 16 years you got to share xxxx

I'm sure Rufus will love Devon - we tried to find places Harry hadn't been but it was impossible, he'd been all over the country and always had a lovely time :D

Rufus is gorgeous by the way! Enjoy your holiday and the happy memories of Ollie x
