Ambrose has crossed the bridge

Post by linny » 19 Feb 2020, 14:09

It is with a heavy heart that I have to tell all Ambrose's Devon Diehard friends that we lost our much loved boy yesterday.
He was the loyalist of friends, such a gentle soul and I really can't believe he's gone.
It all happened so suddenly that here at home we are all in a state of shock.
I can't tell you why he died as every test the vets did didn't show anything of concern.
He had no temperature, his bloods were excellent for an eleven and a half year old dog..
He was x-rayed from top to bottom...and nothing was found.
The first sign of illness was on the 17th when he appeared lame on his front left foreleg...he was also tucked up..so we went straight away to the vets...all the above tests were done but he visibly deteriorated in front of us ..by yesterday evening he was unable to stand and was in serious pain so we took that most awful decision to let him go.
Feeling hearbroken!
Linny.

Dear Linny

So sorry to hear this, he was another larger than life character.
I'll remember him dragging his toy under his front feet, drawing in the sand; and particularly when he drew an 'A'

Our thoughts are with you.

Oh Linny
So sad to hear Ambrose has gone, it must have been a terrible shock. It is the last kind action we can do to let them pass out of pain.
Remember all the fun times he gave you all.
Kind Regards
Kathie and Holly
